that is indeed not simply trichomes,, even completely blurry i can see there is more going on there than that. for sure could be p.m.,,

i do know my p.m.,, aargh

try getting a clear er pic, pls

p.m. karma sent friend

Ok thanks for the info bro.. thats the best pics i can get lol.. thats with a wifi telescope. The strain is wedding cake, alot of the plant is exploding with frosty trichs but this definitely does not look normal.

what is or who makes the best picture attachment that you can "clip" on phone ? for photo's of buds
I do not use attachments. I sometimes use the phone camera but even a small point and shoot camera does take photos that are easier to crop and/or resize.

It is not the attachment that is causing the out of focus look to the pictures. It is just out of focus and the usual cause when trying to get close up photos is that the camera's focal point has been pushed beyond its limits. It is something that can happen with the best of attachments.

Hey John, and welcome to the forum!

I agree with the others... just take a clear photo from a bit farther away, with a point-and-shoot camera or smartphone camera.

A couple questions... 1) what tipped you off that it might be PM? did you suspect PM, or did you just see the white areas after you took the close-up shots? 2) do you have anything that looks like PM on any of the leaves?

Also, you said "wifi telescope"... do you mean USB microscope? You could try turning down the LED light on the microscope. The white areas you are seeing could just be "over-exposure".

You could try looking at the buds with a different magnifying device... a strong magnifying glass, a handheld microscope (e.g. Carson MicroBrite), or even high-magnification reading glasses.

Looks like smushed trichomes to me…. or possibly trichs that melted under heat from lights…

you can’t view trichs by holding a device in the air, with magnification in play most hands are too shaky for that…. snip a small section of top calyx and move it to a table then prop your device on a book or something for stability when viewing

welcome aboard John Blaze

I do it all the time. It depends on what device you're using, and the technique. But you are right... it's not easy.
