Rain water doesn't have all the added chemicals the government injects to keep the people in line. Lololol just joking.

Wow I never even thought of that. Been running on rain water for 25 years now. No wonder I was starting think the world is completely f$$ked up.

I would go with tap water because I grow indoors; but for our outside water, we go with a rain barrel and then a gardening hose.
A lot of the elements in tap water are good for your plants.
If your tap water is really alkaline, then there are other options.

I use tap water, We have a rain barrel that collects run off from our roof. I am pretty sure is has contaminants from shingles.
Tap water for cannabis rain water for flower beds and garden.Rain water contains more contaminants then tap I am pretty sure and all tap water is ph between 6.5 and 8.5. Mine is at 6.5 to 7 which is perfect for me to grow without ph adjusting.
