Soil container Q's

I'm wanting to build a wooden conatiner to hold the soil for my grow. The reason im not using a rubbermaid tub, is its not quite big enough for me.

What i need to know is, what to line the inside with to keep from leaking/rotting? Just get some heavy mil plastic and staple it to the inside? Will the plastic degrade overtime?

Also, i'm not sure how much pressure is gonna be on the walls. The size is gonna be about 1' deep x 4' x 2'. Will particle board or osb work (3/4")? Maybe plywood or even 2x4's? I'm just not sure how much weight is gonna be against the walls

Thanks for any help guys, peace. :smokin:

Word. Yeah its just a box with some dirt. I didnt know how well the plastic would hold up.
Sounds like high mil plastic is the way to go.
Thanks guys (and girls)

The unit weight of water is 62.4 pounds per cubic foot(pcf) @ STP, so if the container is 1 foot deep, the pressure at the bottom against the wall will be 62.4 pounds per square foot(psf).
