To register or not register; that is the question

One of the seed companies advises in the FAQ:

""All orders will be sent by regular mail because this is the most inconspicuous way. If requested we will ship, by registered mail at no extra cost.""

I hadn't thought of that. I don't really see why regular would be less conspicuous........... I mean, from a customs point of view. Well, I just did one order registered, I'll do the next one un-registered.

The register, I believe, helps you when/if package is lost.
The regular, don't.

The cost to Register a small parcel is why it is more of a "flag" as one is pretty much stating it is "of value/valuable", and I imagine they more than likely not going to put down it's real value as that would be a "flag" too for Customs (tiny "package" that weighs very little is worth $__ I wonder what is in there?).
