Unknown Strain, Blueberry & Purple Kush Grow 2019: Am New So Comments Welcome

it is hydro but how early you start nute is pretty universal

I dont use nutes either, water only. Maybe a little aloe water, or coconut juice. Feed, or "Build " your soil in the beginning, adding kelp meal, crustacean meal, Neem/karanja, oyser flower, rock dusts,ect....to a one third of each-peatmoss, compost/worm castings, and some form of aeration. Check out Bobrown, or BlewHiller, or Sweet Sue, AngryBird...they all have soil journals with alot of info and knowledge. Or just google "Clackamas Coot style soil recipe. or livivng organic soil.

Sorry, not trying to change your mind about what you've started. Only making a suggestion. No worrying about ph of water going in either. When your soil is alive, and healthy, it can even be a little boring. Wich is the way i like it! Easy peasy, no problems! Im getting older, and rarely have extra time or patience to experience "hiccups" in my grow. Lazy mans grow all the way for me!

At what age are you supposed to start giving nutes? when the second dode shoes or what?
You can add rooting accelerators from the very beginning. As for real nutrient mixes with higher NPK values, some people say you can start after two weeks, others say just wait for the second or third set of leaves. I think there's no rule carved into stone when it comes to feeding.
With a hot soil, you might not need to add extra nutes in the first 4-6 weeks. With a lightmix or coco, you want to start earlier. When you go hydro, the only available nutes are what you personally provide to your plants.
I believe a general rule is that you want to start in minimal doses, like 15-30% of the recommended dose, and if you don't see any nuteburn, you slowly increase the dose week by week.

By the way, good luck with the new job! ;):peace:

i decided to go with 25% strength to start and then ill just go up from there, when i transplant ill go 50 % and i've found that my professor X can take 100% of the recommended even though the ppm is over 1000 there's no nute burn it just loves it it was 1000 yesterday today its down to like 850 or so so she really is sucking them up shes starting to bud as well i can see little buds beginning to form and crystals forming on the sugar leaves! im excited! also i have the 4 other girls i started that are doing well the clones i took i got rid of. with the size the professor is i couldn't have those 2 plus 2 bbs and a pk and gsc. i'll take pics tomorrow when the lights kick on before i go to work at 7am

UPDATE: She's HUGE the last few days has had some explosive growth she almost takes up my whole 4*4 tent haha she's looking very health the sugar leaves are showing crystals and they're are small buds starting. i can't even count all the bud sites.... i feel like i should have tried to clone it haha but my babies are getting bigger and bigger as well. my new job is going well i just wish i didn't work so much so i have more time to with my babies thoo. haha o well sloths gotta do what a sloths gotta do... just slowly

Got a few new pots today so i can get the younglings in a bigger container so they can start bulking up. I also got the Cyco supa sticky i had yet to get so i now have the full bloom set need a bottle of ryzo fuel but i think it might be illegal? Not sure. but i got them in their own larger pot and got them in the clay pebbles and out of their perlite starter cups. The buds are really coming in on the professor x i have it on a 11 on 13 off schedule to hopefully speed her up since she's late for her age, thought on this? Is 12 12 better or should I stick with how i've been doing it? There are sooo many bud sites i'm thinking about trimming off the ones that don't appear like they will produce much to focus groth to the bigger ones. I've never done that before does anyone have any input on that as well?

She's asleep right now and i don't want to have to show her light so i will update with more photos and some up close looks at the buds starting! I work tomorrow so it'll be laterin the day.

Hope you all are well, :rollit:Here's to beautiful days, and full J's :yummy:. Smoke on! :Namaste:

I don't think you should trim budsites. I've only heard about trimming leaves, not actual budsites.

They're the spots where bud is supposed to grow but they're eaither too small or don't receive enough light that low to grow they didn't even really have many white hairs I would never take any buds that have any density to them

UPDATE: The professor started her 5th week today and shes loving the new nutes i pumped it up to 900 from 700 and she's taking it just fine. My four little ones are coming along nicely now that they're in their bigger pots and i got them on a scheduled timer feeding cycle. Will update more pics tomorrow after work if i work we got snow here.....

Sounds like she's changing gears and putting the pedal down. She has the potential to be a big beautiful beast of a plant!

Oh yeah she is I started her bloom cycle on 11 and 13 and yesterday popped it back to 12 and 12 then the last week I'll go back to that 11 and 13. I meen if I would have lstd a bit more I could have easily hit a lb off of her.

New pics of her I got just after lights out and my 4 little ones are growing up so fast lol

UPDATE: I ordered a carbon filter and fan and ducting, will be here saturday, I just noticed today that i've been paying too much attention to the flowering girl and not my younger ladies.. noticed 3 of the 5 are having mag def. So i added some magical and a gallon of 100% nutrient solution, which I added to the 3 gals that were already in there but had been being fed off of for a week the ppm is still around 600 ish but hopefully I can get them turned around fast! I'm going to be paying more attention to them from now on, the buds just kidda sucked all my attention hah but they are fine and its early onset so I caught it soon enough.

If anyone spots anything ever please feel free to say something if you spot that i'm doing something wrong or wonder why it's the way it is ask please i'm always open to criticisms and objective opinions!
