Ushio 600w opti red with yieldlab 600w ballast?

Has anyone tried this combo?

Or maybe another cheap ballast like apollo, ipower, with ushio hps 600w. I would like to hear from someone who has used it before I try it in mine. I've read that they are not compatible after I purchased the bulb. If they are not I may buy a better ballast. Global greenhouse.

I run one off my Apollo 600 watt digital ballast. Works good.

Previously I used a Sun Master Super HPS. I think I got just as good or better results from the Sun Master at 2/3's the price.

I'm glad that you were able to run them as I believe the apollo and yieldlab ballast are the same. I purchased the bulb for $52 so I really wanted to be able to use it.
