WC's 1st Time Grow with 400w HPS/MH Think Different Autoflower

Looking good, cant wait to see those babies pack in on. Ive wanted to try my luck with the think diff strain

It's definitely a fast growing strain. You should look at the auto ultimate coming out in the next few months :cheesygrinsmiley: I'm thinking about giving that one a go as well.

So here we are in day 9. Nothing much really to report. PH is holding steady in both buckets at 5.9. Plants still look healthy and leaf structure is getting more pronounced every day.

Temps in the tent today where at 86.7 which is worrying. I may have to bring another fan downstairs and run a forced air intake to attempt to lower the temps. Hope it doesn't affect my RH% too much.

So it's still day 9 but what the hell I guess I'll post some more baby pics anyways since their growing up just so damned fast.

I also mixed up a foliar spray consisting of B52, Voodoo Juice, CalMag, Carboload and and Rhino Skin which I'll be spraying in about 40 or so minutes. PPM is around 320 which is about half my res at this point.

On to the pics.

I also may be getting my hands on some better equipment. I found a possible sweet deal on a 1000w ballast with xl air cooled hood, 2 1000w Bulbs, a 12 tube flourescent panel, an extra carbon filter with fan and various other parts and bits like ducting etc. So I'm really excited for that to go through.

so nothing really to report on day 10 the plants are still growing. They apparently liked the foliar feed they got last night so that may become a nightly occurance. Temps are around 82 RH is about 50% or so. I intend to start checking PH every other day now since it appears to be holding steady. Unless the plants tell me otherwise.

Might post some pics later.

day 11 is happening and one of my plants now has some roots in the res. The other plant took a wrong turn somewhere but I'm confident it will sort itself out soon.

Both plants where still well in range PH wise and both res are holding steady at around 550 PPM.

Pictures probably tomorrow.

Day 11 Pics for the hell of it.

Not bad for 11 days. Res change is in 3 more days I'll probably up the nutes to half strength which I think is 2ml/ltr

I'm hoping to see Lefty's roots finally hit the res either tomorrow or the next day. Righty should start bulking up with the roots assuming the oxygen is sufficient in the res.

Day 12

Plants are still alive and growing each day.

Lefty still hasn't found the res. Righty is soaking it right up.

PH is within range Righty was slightly high so I had to correct it down both plants PPM are within 550-600

Pics later when I feel like uploading them.

also on a side note. I've noticed that there are growths in the space where the main stem and the stem from the leaves meet. Can somebody clue me in as to whether these are leaves or are the plants starting to show sex.

Day 13

Righty has more roots in the res. Lefty still hasn't managed to find it so I think I'll lower the water level tomorrow when I do the res change and force the medium to dry a bit maybe that will get Lefty back in the game. It's odd because lefty is actually the bigger of the two plants so with that logic she should have a few of her own roots in the res as well. I don't know guess I can just try and see how it goes.

Photos later

Day 14:

RES CHANGE!

PPM aprox 1150ppm
PH 5.8 both buckets.

So I upped my nutes to half strength. Afterwards I looked up an EC to PPM conversion chart just to get an idea of where I am and it turns out if I'm reading it right then my EC is at 2.2 - 2.3!!! I'm hoping this is what I'm supposed to be doing would be nice if I could get somebody with some knowledge to chime in and let me know.

Righty keeps dropping roots into the res so far their nice and white and clean looking.

Lefty finally poked her taproot out the side of the net pot guess she took a wrong turn at albaquerque.

ok my bad the pen says to calibrate with NaCi which I'm assuming is some kind of calibration solution. The pen is, however, manufactured by Hanna which I believe uses the .5 conversion which is the chart I looked at to arrive at my 2.2 - 2.3 EC range. I don't see any nute burn as of yet and in fact both plants are looking pretty perky for 14 days above ground and running that nute strength. I am using voodoo juice and b52 maybe that's helping my plant cope?
