I'm 72 and grow 4 outdoor plants annually to alleviate seizures and arthritic pain. Weirdest thing with this year's plants 2 different species. Bought them as clones and when I planted them in late April, the leaves on both types were nothing like a regular leaf. After a month 2 plants of the same type began growing and sprouting regular leaves. The other 2 just sat in a vegetative state growing some weird leaves with very short stunted growth. Then a month ago, one of them started to grow new stems with regular leaves. The other started growing regular leaves a week ago. I doubt whether to latter two plants will flower before the rains come in the fall, but we can hope. Love watching them grow!
