Currently in the process of my 3rd grow. I thought I might mix it up this time. I've got 3 auto pink grapefruit, 2 fem kalashnikov and a reg southern lights. I'm following the hygen feed schedule, but lower EC. Im growing under a 600w hps and a 400w, batman reflectors in/out ducting and oscillation fans. I did lose a few seedlings earlier on and not sure why but going ok now.

Cute garden my friend. Get some natural light pics so we can tell if they are healthy or not. Happy growing.

Since upgrading to the bluelab ph pen and I raised my lights up some they've been going really well. I'm following the hy-gen feed chart but lowerd dosages. I add 1m/L of the npk flower stuff only for the autos as I didn't want them to miss out it doesn't affect the ph tho witch is good my Ph in is 5.9 and ppm 550

The first ×2 pictures are of the auto flowers doing great the larger plant is almost as high as my waist with the other above me knees and I'm about 5ft 10. The ×4 photo types are doing well I've experimented a little with trimming off shade leaves to open up light to a few flowers and I'm not liking it. I have always left healthy leaves and I've only removed aging leaves, in the past and I think ill stick to that in the future. Slowly raising ppm/EC and keeping the ph as close to 5.9 as I can get it. I hadnto put them outside bcuz of electrical maintenance close by and found I had gnats afterwards assuming it's from outside but no feed and added perlite to the tops and haven't seen anything for a few days now.

Ladies look good my friend nice and healthy.

Howdy

I did a quick net search and this is what I have:

  • Manually. If the pest is not well advanced, you can try to remove the insects and larvae by hand. It's quite tedious, and not the most effective measure, but it will undoubtedly do her good. So arm yourself with patience and with some latex gloves, and remove one by one the insects that you spot as well as the parts that have already been infected.
  • Spray with a natural insecticide. Neem oil is one of the most effective insecticides against this kind of pests. You can also spray your plants with pyrethrins, rotenone or potassium soap every two or three days. Important notice: when the plant enters the flowering, you must stop the treatment because it could affect the taste of the end product.
  • Introduce predatory insects. Some of the species that we recommend using are wasps and mites. This is the most environmentally-friendly and efficient way to get rid of thrips without using any products.
I personally have not had to deal with them.

Tok..

Thankyou, for the reply. I im looking into making my own insecticide most of the stores in my state are shut all week. I researched a little last night and found that castile soap mixed with water in a sprayer bottle is an affective way to tackle most pests in the grow room. It's only my 3rd grow and if I didn't move them outside I'd would still be going pest free I reckon.

Still haven't seen anything suspicious on any near my auto flowers, strange cause there all together side by side. My photo periods, just watered them earlier spotted 2 flying and 1 little white thing crawling. I was gutted but when watering the auto flowers I seen nothing no signs of pests. Why is that?

Got castile hanwash and a natural all purpose insect spray, that pyrethrum plus oil pest spray. I'll try natural insect spray 1st on part of my plant

No report on castile soap spray but plants do look happier 24hrs after using all purpose spray. Leaves have starting facing upwards rather then downwards. Holy moly I have 1 giant bloody auto flower honestly, you would think it's been in veg for 2 months and I've just flipped the hours.

Still looking good. Still feeding them the same as my previous post. Im seeing some lower leaves with what looks like phosphorus deficiency but very minor im guessing it's the veg nutrients I'm feeding them still. I do plan on flipping my photo periods very soon so I'm thinking bloom nutrients will fix it. I like a good size to flip but my autos are almost reaching the light

Beautiful girls my friend. Excellent work.
Do the ladies in veg always droop like that? Or were lights out or something. :Namaste:
