Blueberry Headband

My friend said the same thing. He said that the dadmom plant will have its dad and mom’s traits or the seeds will have its grandparent’s traits so they won’t be identical to the dadmom plant. He said an exception is if the grandparents have been independently inbred for many years and the diversity is nearly gone.

6-10 days in hydro for me. Actually, I just commented on my journal how my soil plant expressed gender before an identical (from clone) hydro plant, so 6-10 for both for me. Though, to better represent, this soil plant is my first soil plant.

Tomorrow will be 3 weeks into 12/12, but still no sign of gender on either plant. How long does it typically take you guys to see gender?
Around the 2 week point, unless they were still a bit young at flip. I've had one plant take around a month...

Just keep an eye on her....

Here’s the current environmental conditions at plant level. I think the coldest months in my region are December through February. Do you guys think I need to invest in a heat mat and timer or can I get by without one?

I don't start worrying about temps until I'm above 85, or below 67.

I try to stay dead on 77, but a little fluctuation has never bothered my plants at all.

I see people on Doc Bud's thread using 2" thick styrofoam on cement slabs, then just putting their plants on that. For me, the only time I want to add heat is to clones and seedlings as the added warmth (not heat) speeds up the rooting process.

I try not to go any lower then 15C in night times. I’ve been as low as 14... but I quickly adjusted to try make it warmer at that point. The plants were okay. It’s when you have a drastic temp swings is when you want to worry.

I used to live in a basement suite which was cold in the summer and even colder in the winter, and the swings were pretty gnarly, but I stayed within the 6 degrees Celsius range and they brought out beautiful colours in the plants.
