What have you been watering with?

Just plain water, or with nutes?

If nutes, is it a soft feed designed for babies?[/QUOTE

My grow store gave me a sample of root grow and I have it two small applications otherwise it's been ro water with ph in the mid sixes. ]

I think with ro watet you need to use a cal/mag supplement. Mabye someone can second this as im not 100% sure.

You dont need any additives at the seedling state... Some people will say you can add a few things to help out but should not be needed. But you are right In the weeks to come using RO water you will need a cal/mag supplement.

Seedlings can run to a second set of true leaves on just water. I have done this in rockwool and they were fine. A safer bet would be a specific seedling feed after the first set of true leaves. Never dilute normal feeds for seedlings as it's not designed with that in mind and may not contain some micro-elements that are found in seedling feed.

A lot of lessons learned the hard way already. I'm down to three from five seeds that germinated and one of them looks really yellow and a bit shrivled. Wish I could roll back the clock..
Here are the latest pictures. Ones a bit worse then the other two. actually I think one looks really good.
I'm using straight ro with nothing added. only thing I did was give it a root grower early on per the grow store specialist. Ha
Am I overwatering???

The best thing with the sponge plugs is how easy they are to keep the moisture levels right. I use a sprayer to keep mine damp, 2 or 3 squirts on each side when I see them turn a light brown and you can see them turn dark brown as the water is drawn to the middle. Then a few squirts on the top for good measure.
To test if they are too wet, give them a gentle squeeze & see if any water comes out :)
