The best way to catch that pollen is to bag it as soon as the pods fill and before too, you probably missed one lol. I'd have a big paper saucer underneath and a paper bag too, and definitely no ladies within a mile. :thumb:

A little pollen goes a long way. I had a super small male. I mostly used a cup to catch the pollen.
Got a lifetimes worth of seed. My first pollen 'collect and chuck!'

I cut the side of the cup down to the bottom and wrapped the stem in the cup, see if the pictures help

Never sure how good the pictures depict

See tiny plant......

I also tried a sheet of paper for a while, I have seen others use paper plates.

I do not remember half of what I read to collect it now, but i will keep thinking. :goodluck:

Edit:
Somethings I remember I collected in stages and labeled old pill, asprin, advil, and such container with dates and refrigerated it after removing any and and all plant material, I also included little dry desiccant packs in the bottles. Some of the pollen was still good after six months in the refrigerator, made more seeds with a back cross. I wll get another test of it this spring, see what happens...

Great pictures KelticBlue, the only reason I saw for using a paper plate rather than paper was that it was a bit more solid when moving it away from the plant, that pollen flies easily and it helped. I've never seen the cup, great idea :thumb:

I just took 4 cuttings from a male tonite, im hoping they continue to mature. I didnt want him anywhere near my females. Ill pollinate 1 branch on the female i picked out.

Keep em frosty ya'll

Thanks HH, yes indeed thin flimsy paper tends to toss pollen in the air. I only had the one female at the time but I had seed everywhere on her. I now know to try very hard to just do the one branch....

Edit : yeah what pennywise has, that is the way, nice one.

I send good vibes toward you and your pollen DeanB
