DP StarRyder & Dinafem Blue Cheese Auto - Balcony - First Grow

4 ml Fish-Mix with every watering is way too much - I kinda made the same mistake feeding according to the BioBizz schedule but didn't notice that it says per week and not per watering.
You should only feed it with 1 ml Fish-Mix per week when using All-Mix, at least that's what my schedule says..
Flush it with significant run-off and water with plain water from now on unless you notice nute deficiency.
Hope you ladies make it through.

Blue Cheese Update - Day 53

I didn't flush it again as watering too much can also activate All-Mix. I'll wait for her to dry up a bit and then I'll give her a good flushing again. I pruned all damaged leaves and I lost a shitload of leaf mass (the plant is 70-80% buds/sugar leaves now). I pruned whole leaves where the damage was severe but I left as much green as possible. I tied her in a way that the most of the remaining leaves can be exposed to sunlight (which resulted in a weird canopy). Now, I can only wait. Top buds are bulky and mature, there are amber trichromes, so I'm actually not that far from harvest. The aim is to wait if possible for a few popcorn buds to fatten up a bit. If the burn persists, I'll use my judgement and cut her off when necessary.

@dr.h00k: well said my friend. giving up will be the last resort for me also. as for the ballz; one set is enough for a whole garden. :)

@PurpleGunRack: I'm still banging my head against the wall mate. StarRyder is a heavy feeder, she showed no signs of burn at all on the same regime. that's where my confidence and distraction came from. anyways, from mistakes is the best way of learning.

Here she is, enjoying the morning sun.

Cheers!

Blue Cheese Auto - Early Partial Harvest at Day 56 (Today is Day 60)

Hey everyone!

After noticing the increasing number of amber trichromes, I decided to quick-dry and sample a popcorn-bud. I came to the conclusion that it's already more couchlocker than I liked it to be. Sampling, trichromes, pistils and bud development led me to harvest early but partially.

I don't have scales so I don't know about the exact weight. I chopped 5 buds in total, 3 of them are semi-dried now and in a jar, 2 (including the first sampling) were quick-dried carefully in oven and consumed responsibly. It's far too early for a smoke report but even the quick-dried buds were unbelieavable. My first impression is: sweet smell and taste, less cheesy-skunky and more fruity - and a true couchlocker. Onset is rather quick and its most obvious effect, relaxation, is very long-lasting.

Here's a before and after I'll post some bud photos later:

I believe that it was not out of pure impatience. Some of you may think otherwise. This was an experimental first growth to begin with. Partial harvest is a very sane idea and I can already see the development in the lower popcorn buds.

This sweet harvest will keep me busy until the StarRyders are dry. Both of them (even the stunted one) are looking awesome.

Smoking the stuff you've grown from seed is an ultimate experience mates. I've had the privilege for the first time and I can't wait to share both the wisdom and the stash. :)

Cheers!:smokin:

Nice mate, can't wait for some bud porn;)
It's gonna be fun to see how it grows from here.
Yeah it's so nice to enjoy the fruit of your labour, I am also exstatic about my first harvest.

Hope all is well in your world.

Is this grow still alive?

We would love to be updated with some pictures and info.

How about posting a 420 Strain Review?

If you need any help with posting photos, please read our Photo Gallery Tutorial.

I am moving this to Abandoned Journals until we get updates.
