First Time Grow: 2 Fast 2 Vast

Hey guys, new here and my first grow! So I’m growing a single 2 fast 2 vast in a 60x60x140 Mylar tent and a Vipraspectra 450w LED which has been set to veg spectrum for the time being.
I’m growing in a 20ltr airpot using biobizz all mix (I’d meant to get light mix but ordered all mix by accident :/)
Anyway, all seems relatively good so far at 16 days since popping.
Had a little Santa’s beard mycelium (I think) pop up yesterday so hopefully my soil is doing well!
I’ll be using biobizz grow bloom and topmax as feeds.

So at day 17 now and she seems to be coming along nicely with a slight smell starting to come through. The pH levels may be a bit concerning as it’s showing at being over 7, but I’ve got the feeling my pH probe may be off as it’s showing most of my other plants as having a similar pH, will keep my eye on it for signs of nutrient lock out. She’s still pretty squat but looks like she’ll be fairly bushy so I think indica genes are dominant in this one.

Gl the more info you give here the better help you'll receive. I'll sit around and watch for sure. I'm curious if you were using inches for your tent measurements, 140 inches tall?

Hey, I’m using cm, it’s 1.4 metres high.
I forgot to provide the seed information!

It’s an auto 2 Fast 2 Vast by heavyweight seeds

Hi Zeb, welcome to :420:
lots of great information here and people are already helping you out. That's fantastic. Let me throw a couple of things at you.
The pH levels may be a bit concerning as it’s showing at being over 7, but I’ve got the feeling my pH probe may be off as it’s showing most of my other plants as having a similar pH
I could be wrong but it sounds like you are sticking a probe into the soil to measure your pH. If that's the case you need to get away from that type of tester. They are not good, as with the 3 in 1 probes. Your best bet is to get a good pH pen, then mix all your nutes in the water and measure the pH in the finished solution. You want that to be in the 6.3 to 6.8 range as you may already know. Adjust it accordingly then feed your plants.
Next thing is to get on a good watering schedule. Check my signature out for a link on the proper way to water a potted plant. Great information there.
Finally, your plant is looking real healthy. Don't over feed it. Your plant will tell you when it wants fed, or when it's thirsty. Listen to the plants, keep it simple, and you'll be growing huge buds in no time.
:goodluck:

Thanks for all the information, I am using a soil spike probe but I’ll be investing in a decent pen soon though. So will keeping the water at the right pH ensure that the soil is correct too?
I’ve only fed it the once so far, last Friday, using 1/2 the recommended dosage, the soil is still a little moist so I’m hanging fire until I feed again.
Once again, thanks for all the advice folks

That is correct. If your soil is already close to Neutral, being 7, then watering at 6.3 to 6.8 will bring it down gradually. Same it if is slightly acidic. It will bring it up.
I'm not familiar with BioBizz but it sounds like it's for Cannabis since they sell the nutes as well, so I would assume the soil is pretty stable, with vermiculite for drainage etc.
Finally you can test your water run off when it leaks out the airpot, Catch it in a small beaker or container and you can test the pH of the water coming out. This is leaching out with the soil and essentially testing the soils pH.

Looking really good, I was having issues with my pH before. Ordered a higher quality meter and got a really fast response.
Looking forward to seeing your progress!

Looks good, can’t wait until mine gets going!
I’m at day 22 now and I think she’s due a feed as the pot is starting to feel lighter, still growing well and producing new leaf buds every 24hrs
Looing good dude. Soil is very forgiving so try not to read to much into things. All looks sweet at the moment. The leaves tell a lot about the plant, altho its hard to tell from the pics because of the light. Try taking a pic in daylight every so often. That way if there is any noticable looking problems people will be able to tell you what they are and how to fix it. Here is a pic of one of my early skunk autos in daylight. Much easier to tell if something is wrong.

Just an idea but its your call at the end of the day. But like i said soil is very forgiving. I will tag along for the ride if you dont mind.

Hey man, thanks for the advice, I’ve taken a few daylight pics, one leaf looks a little withered on its edge but I think the rest of it looks ok

Dont worry about the leaf that looks a bit withered. Some plants tend to have a couple that wrinkle a bit. Its nothing to worry about. She looks as as healthy as a pig in shit dude. Lovely and healthy looking. Your doing a cracking job so far. Cannabis plants are very resiliant and can take a lot of mistreatment. Take a look at the grow i have going at the moment. My plant was attacked by animals and came back to be massive. Just click the link in my signature and you will see. Your doin awesome dude.

Idealy blue for growth and red for flowering. However the plant will flower regardless of light colour once the light schedule changes to 12/12. The only problem with not having the proper spectrum light is you will get little bud on the plant. The light is the most crucial part of any grow as without it the plant will not grow properly. So my advice to you is get yourself a decent light for flowering. Either a led light or hps. The higher the wattage the more intense the output of light. If money is tight and you cant afford a high wattage led or hps then you could always go with cfl. As long as they are of the red spectrum ie (warm white) not the daylight ones as they are blue spectrum. Hope this helps.
