Leaf Diagnosis Help!

Hi! On my 2nd grow attempt here and plants are dying. Need help! To make things more difficult, I'm confused with nutes. Here's the details.. will try to make er quick.

-First grow was 1 seed from Ontario Government.
-Started VERY dark, heavy and clawed bad.
-Leaves started dying at tips, from bottom of plant up, and eventually I tossed out.

-Now.. Planted 2 of the same seeds from before, and 2 from Crop King Seeds.
- 1 from Ont. Gov. wouldn't sprout.
-Other one started same.. Dark, heavy and clawed.
-2 others started ok.

Now a couple weeks into vegging, the leaves (from Ont. Gov. Seed) are getting worse and worse. I have 3 part nute system. Fed (all plants) once at 1/4 strength, seemed good. Did 1/4 again. Then just water. Then ment to do half strength but did full!! When I gave these nutes each time, I did NOT ph the water, so not sure plant even recieved nutes? (Planted in PromixPH.. supossed to adjust ph automatically). Yesterday I did straight water again.

Today the leaves are getting much worse quite quick. Ive now noticed one or spots starting on my better plant!!

So.. think I've overfed? Underfed? Think the Ontario Government seeds just suck? Any help would be great thanks! Again, leaves go brownish from tip of leaves, starting at bottom of plant. P.s. Im poor so can't buy much Lol

Better plant just starting to go today!

I HOPE watering is going a bit better with your advice last time, and your article.

There's been a couple times it took almost a week between feedings a while back when smaller... When first moved to 3g pots, I watered every day or 2 for a couple/few feedings because the promixPh was drying out faster then I thought it would. Lately for a couple weeks it's been about every 3 days.

I try and let my moisture meter read almost nothing in the bottom couple inches (plus picking them up to feel they are light) then wait one more day usually to water. Perhaps I am not letting the bottom feeder roots dry out?

Do you have a nutrient feeding schedule for the brand of nutes you use
I have one for house & garden, one for general hydro.
I'll probly get strung up for this but I start feeding my ladies when they pop out of the dirt

It's only a shot of 1ml/gal cal mag and rapid start
Start of week 2 I add in aqua flakes a&b

Try switching to fabric pots and if your dirt is drying out faster that's good, you have to water more but so what it lets you see your ladies every day 40 dirt/60 coco I like sunshine #4 I didn't really like promix hp I had issue with a blueberry crop until I switched them and then boom they took off

Promix basically one watering and that soil is flushed

When you go to water your plant pick up the pot when it's dry and after you water it
Go by the method of almost dry feeling for heavyness
If you need to add more fans and crank the heat to 80*F

@InTheShed you use ProMix right?
Not sure if you need to nute that soon with PM. My base mix says wait 30 days before nutes.

I start nutes in ProMix either when the cotyledons start to yellow or I see some fade on the true leaves (the ones after the cotyledons), whichever comes first. Could be as early as 10-14 days, but for sure by the time the plant is as big as the one in the picture.

And you don't just add nitrogen. If you have a 3-part nutrient line, I'm sure it has feeding instructions based on the age of the plant. If not, go ¼ strength for the first two waterings, then ½ strength, and so on. And as Emilya mentioned, the bottom has to start to dry out before you water again or you're drowning the newest roots. In fabric pots, lift them and feel the bottom. That will tell you when it's dry!

And in ProMix, feed feed feed, don't alternate feed water feed. Find a good strength for the plants and let them have it consistently.

Ya, I'm slowly learning when to start adding some nutes.. I'm sure every strain likes things a little different too

Well, I fed my plant about 14 hours ago? Gave her about 75% recommended dose for aggressive veg. Only the Micro from the 3 part, as it is heavy is Nitrogen.

No extra signs of dying this afternoon. Hopefully this was the issue and Ill have to feed a little heavier now to keep em happy!

PS No feeding schedule with this brand.. Just a mix chart for quantity of nutes.

I think you may be overreacting a bit to say it's dying. It's showing a variegated pattern, which could be genetic. Are your plants getting enough cal-mag in their nutes? Are the nutes designed for cannabis? Care to tell us the brand to see if we can get someone with experience using them to chime in?

Don't be so gloom and doom!

Mine are growing fantastic, but still have leaves that look like this.

Give her some time. Did you get your RH in check? Mine just bit me. I’ve been 55-60% for 3 weeks trying to figure it out and today I cut it down to 45-50% and freakin spirit fingers everywhere!

Hasn’t looked like this in 3 weeks. Patience is key!

Lol very true, and good advice you two! They do look fairly good overall. I do worry too much.... in life, period!

This one plant must be trying to tell me something anyways. We'll see. Cal-Mag could be it.. don't have that particular nutrient. Quite poor!

Here are the nutes I use :) They are for growing weed, yes.

Again, mostly 1/4 strength mild veg.. then 1 feed at full. Then recently one feed of just micro (nitrogen heavy) at 3/4 strength of aggressive veg.
