Ive tried to LST my C99xPR, i left her grow a bit big before i commenced, and she shot secondary shoot off parrelell to the main that was tethered, and after i tethered that, well, she just blew up and out!! Its my first LST attempt, and i didnt know that this strain is meant to take a rounder shape as opposed to a standard pine tree style grow.
She has 12 primary branches and 2 secondary shoots which are just as tall as the 12 mains, so i hope these will grow some nice buds as theyre showing nice growth. Here s a quik pic of her, 2months into veg. Cindy:

Well guys, Its been a while since I was here last.
Now I attempted LST properly with Cindy, the plant in my first post here. She was Vegged until nearly 4ft, and when matured stood at just over 6ft'3 and was squashed in @ 4.5ft wide.
I adapted the methods I saw and adjusted them for my space. My plant grew like a SCROG or SOG, basically I pulled the main cola across and all other branches became Primary branches and so each had a big main cola. I got 4, 2ft long and about 18cm wide in diameter, then the rest of her buds were between 1-1.5ft with a decent top canopy of smaller bud weighing about 5g each dry.
The 4 - 2ft buds, weighed in at just over 6.5oz, I was robbed during drying process and the twits either took off quik or felt sorry and left the 4 - 2ft buds??? THEYD BE MY FIRST ONES I WENT FOR!!!
Anyway, after this I pondered if it were a smart idea to start up another or not, as my security was now public knowledge.. BUT BEING A STUBBORN PRICK - I thought, LET EM TRY THAT AGAIN!!!! Ill be sleeping under them ready to roll
I started a grow in the same manner but, during my last grow ( which was kind of long as she had a 63 day flower period! ) I had a few people not liking the amount of time I took, which was about 15 weeks in total so about 3 weeks longer than most hydro growers used to grow in.
So this time I tried to do it a little faster but my plant size has suffered - I have room for a 7ft plant - so now my girl stands in at just over 4.5ft x 4.5ft wide. She may give a good yield I hope but IMO, I should have kept EVERYTHING THE SAME - so a bit longer Veg time, until she was 3.5/4ft tall.
Here is a few photo s of my last grow with Cindy- How I started to set her out, and positioned her then how she formed her Primary branches. Also I will show you my present girl Kiksumass, named after the Burg!!

Started with CFL's -Perfect for raising seedlings!

Had alot of tight nodes due to 1 HI output CFL.

Begginning Of her LST - rubber coatd wire used.

Shes bushing out + up as she respond to LST

About 2 weeks later she was like this..

From then on she grew thick and fast!! I had to tether her a position each branch with the rubber wire, but it was made simple thanks to adhesive cup hooks to attach to!!

She hit nearly 4ft then I flipped her..

I managed to replicate the 3 big stacks of buds in the middle on my current grow!! She was quite the plant, hands on but most good grows are

So thats my girl Cindy and her LST - SORRY ABOUT THE STRIPES!! But she responded well to everything I did except for the few stuff ups.. Sorry there s not really good pics of her tethers, but as you can see it was crowded..

I started their LST when they seemed established and had a few nodes - I recently saw a plant stripped when it had just started its 3rd pairs of leaves as a seedling, it doesnt look too healthy, but he may do well? But for me, once theyre looking to have the first few pairs of primary branches forming and has her 7 fingered leaves thats usually around the safe time IMO to do some trimming/stripping for LST or what ever..

Again, she s made a few Apical tops and good base.

I flipped her not long after, about 2 weeks or less? Well short of the height I flipped Cindy with.

130 grams of moist weed, I think its about 30 grams of dry weed, NOT BAD. By the way, te last pic shows my new indoor!, its about 50x60x80 cm.

I have a quick question. Would it be beneficial to top or fim while also incorporating the lst method or would it not have to much of an effect or maybe too much stress?

LST is the way to go / thanks for putting it in picture form.
In the very first pic of this thread where you mention that the plant is too small for LSTing and has deficiency problems, "what exactly is the deficiency" ? I have looked it up and so many are similar in appearance.
