Outdoor Grow Journal 2018

Take a look at the worlds most expensive chicken coop. My buddy wanted to practice on his new mill, so I dropped him off a bunch of pine. Then I had the Amish build me this in a barter for some old horse drawn equipment I had around the farm they wanted.
I like letting my ladies free range outside the coop on the days I’m working close buy or when the dogs are outside. With 5 hens we get around 35-37 eggs/week. I have a very large predator population around here, especially coyote and fox. Chickens disappear quickly if left to free range unattended.

It’s a boy :p

Every spring we have a momma doe that drops her fawn in the field close to the house. I think she knows she is (semi) safe next to the house from coyotes. This is the reason I do not hay this field until well after fawning season. They will not budge, had the tractor tire three feet from this little guy before I noticed.
