Hey guys long time no see!

Pandemic life has taken a toll on our journal, but we are coming back strong with an outdoor grow this time around! We have planted four and it's a bit of a mystery to what they are. Decided to surprise ourselves with what could be Strawberry Coughs, Lemon Hazes or Chocolopes! Excited with our little experiment and watching them take advantage of the gruelling Australian sun! We had one snap from the torrential rains and had to plant another. Here are the babies on January 2nd at about a month old

Glad you're back on the wagon after all of this pandemic craziness, looks like you are off to a great start! Wish I could grow outdoors, until then I can just swing by here and dream.

2 Months Old and Looking GOOD!


So here they are today! There is clearly one monster and the rest are coming along. All have been topped and we have our defenses up! We have about another two months of Veg until we flip to flower.

We are using coffee grounds and pepper to keep away slugs and pill bugs, as well as potassium soap salts for fighting off white flies and aphids. The coffee grounds are also helpful for extra nitrogen, potassium and growth hormones. We also have been using bacillus thuringiensis for the caterpillars who are the biggest detriment! These guys love my passion fruit and will attack onsite when the BT wears off. I think we may need to supplement with calcium and magnesium.

There is a bit of training going on and our biggest lady is spreading out quite nicely. I thought they could use a bit of company and put them out with my other plant friends to give them more of a sense of community!

Dreams do come true! We are super lucky to be in a place where we can. I am worried about timing once we pass into flower and the frosts start coming!

So here we are. The surprises keep coming and I'm stoked! We were hoping to get them a bit bigger.... but we are ready to get stoned fersure! As the daylight is starting to subside they have already started their pre-flower! Wasn't expecting this until April with a more even day to night ratio, but we were mistaken.

I let the plants go too long without magnesium and calcium. So I gave them an eggshell ferment, Epson salts, and some green supreme (microbe inoculation). I also topped dressed with some @GeoFlora Nutrients (Veg) and upon closer inspection discovered the pre-flowers! They are starting to get thirrrrstyyy.

The last pic is of a weed in the backyard full of Aphids. This is how bad it can get! Aphids on aphids. We have plenty bait weeds surrounding our plants projects. The potassium salts and fatty acids do work. Really need to spray more BT as the caterpillars are relentless. It has been a very rainy season, but the rains are starting to subside as we head into fall.

Yes! We experience the frost, as we are slightly elevated. Where we live it's pretty intense day to night temps. The sun is also unforgiving some days and you can easily be burnt in 10 mins.

I've got a sick base tan now that I've never had before moving here. Very different and had to adapt from the Midwest climate to the extreme day to night temps! It never gets as cold though and I'm okay with that.

Nice looking garden. Really cool handle. That pic of those aphids is kinda creepy. I’d break out the flame thrower.

It's a full moon tonight! Rains have really subsided now. The beginning of our Summer we were getting almost daily downpours. We are out there trying to water every night in preparation for the grueling sun and temperatures during the day. The bigger two of the four are really starting to to show! the pistols on one are quite pink! Never seen this dramatic pink though.... Maybe a Strawberry Cough perhaps?!

12 Weeks Old - 4 Weeks into Flower

Temp Range- 12 - 30
Humidity Range- 40 - 90%
UV Index- Low to High

The rain came back strong this week and it has been cloudy most days, with a lower UV index. We have not been able to spray potassium salts to ward of our enemies with all the rain coming in at random times.Our day temps range from the mid to upper 20's and the night temps have dipped to 12 degrees.

We gave them a topping of the @GeoFlora Nutrients Bloom for that boost in Phosphorus and Potassium to keep them happy. We are laying off on the coffee grounds. I think the rosemary plants deter the pests, as well as the spider friends also help secure the area!

1 of the plants is a week behind the others.

Thanks for the love, everybody! Still a semi regular spray-down of potassium salts of fatty acids and dipel is keeping our friends relatively bug free. We've been keeping them wet in between big rains and they are looking happy!
