Round 2 With Some Mystery Seeds

Hi all, happy here back with another journal. I've been away for a while but I have checked in here and there. Anyways... This journal will not be as informative as some of my previous journals but I'll try to at least make it fun .

So as stated in the title I have two mystery plants in this garden, both are from a collection of single seeds I was given, won, bought, etc. I had my tent set up and was moving things, found the seeds and decided "fak it, why not!?" . ...... So here we are now !

Ok, now that intro's are finished let's get into the set up. So I won't be to specific on some of the equipment as to not violate guidelines so some of it I'll just put values/other info.

TENT: 2×4×5 tent mylar lined.

LIGHT'S: 1 100watt white/sun Led and 1 90watt blue/red combo Led.

FANS: 1 10" flat fan for exhaust and 1 10" oscillating fan for circulation.

CONTAINERS: two 2 gallon fabric pots.
SOIL MIX/BLEND: generic soil, with perlite, moss, and some stater nutrients(as I'm sure this wasn't the richest soil )

SEED'S/STRAIN: completely random and unknown. both are about one month old.

NUTRIENT'S: veg and bloom dry pellet nutrients with additional flowering boosters when needed.

OTHER(THINGS ON HAND IF NEEDED): ph meter, fungicide, insecticide, thermometer, etc.

Ok so that's that .... So just bare with me and enjoy the ride. Also one of the plants is being allowed to grow straight and natural without any real training, the other however I will be spiralling around the pot exposing as much of the plant to light as possible.... essentially allowing all growth equal light....in theory .

DAY 34.....ish.

Hey all wutz happenin .

So today was a water day, each plant received about 12-14 fl oz which makes them run off just a bit. They were fed about 3-4 days ago so they won't get anything for a week as feed is usually every 12 days. And for lighting they are on at %60 power from 6:30 .am until 11p.m for now until I flip it and use timer to maintain a steady 12/12.

So other than grow maintenance, I pinned down some taller off shoots, repositioned main to a side ways position, and trimmed a single big fan blocking lower sites..... And on the other plant i have given it a thorough inspection for buggies... The leaves show signs of something....just nothing to concerning... I'm thinking a bit of low humidity with a touch of wind burn from fan close by.... So will raise humidity a bit and moved fan, so I will see if the issue persist.

DAY 37....ISH

Happy Friday .

Ok so not to much to report on except I have staked down some taller shoots and have repositioned the main.... I'm trying to spiral the plant to maximize the room I have available wide before flowering stretch conquers my space ... I have a couple feet so I should be ok.

But for the training/staking I'm using 16" skewers, double sided Velcro strips (super convenient and reusable), and small carabineers for loose weights..... So far so good with nothing breaking and extremely simple.

Other than that they are chilln no water for a day or so and no feed for another week-ish depending on how they're looking.... But over all it's Just plants doing plant stuff .

Ok nuff ramblin.... Photo time.... Last few photos show plant with presumed wind burn....otherwise it's good to me.

Looking good,love those fat Indica leaves,sure she's gonna have some fat buds,looks like allot of people are having good results with the sceures and bamboo shoots aposed to a trellis net,think that's what I'm gonna go for on this run too, looking good can't wait to see them in a couple weeks!

DAY 46

Hey all happy Sunday!

So a couple things to report in in this update:

• I have initiated flowering lighting. I know a bit soon for 40+- day old plants.... But due to them being a mystery all the way around. I felt it was necessary to sex them now and see where it takes them so I don't waste energy, resources, my time, etc.
So now they are on an automatic timer set from 7a.m to 7p.m daily. With lights adjusted for flower :
Blue/Red aka Blurple: Both switches are now active.
White led: Power percentage has been increased from %50 to 75% and will increase gradually each week....maybe 5% until it maxes out?!

•Since initiating flower mode on the third day the plants have started to show their gender... With one being in my eyes to be 95% sure it's a girl and well the other being in question so we may be down to one plant in this grow, which is ok she will get all my attention.

• Now onto the plant in question it is showing more of a crab claw look than calyx and pistil...but it is still kinda early to fully tell. So from this point on until I am sure it's a lady I will consider that plant to be Miss Doubtfire ....

• Alright so other than that I've checked them over ...no pest .. maybe went a little light on the nutrients the last feed so I will definitely adjust that when I feed next with flowering food. Everyone has been watered and a little heavy today from the watering but they'll perk back up soon.....
