Tbob Does Flowering Clones in Soil & Hydro 2014

re: Tbob Does Flowering Clones in Soil & Hydro 2014

Oh I c now, to quick with the scrolling through pages. This
Is a unique grow not many do both dwc and soil. Do u think u r leaning one way more than the other. Which do u think is growing better?

Well the heat is my problem or I would grow strictly in DWC at all times. I do love some soil grown but I'm too impatient for soil.

Yea it was a quick fix for me between paychecks. It gets the job done though.

My whole setup is paycheck to paycheck. haha We do what we have to, right? I'm a DIY'er for life, that's just how I roll. Nothing gets me fired up like paying someone to do something I could do myself.

Tell me about I've owned this winter beater for 4 years and I told the misses we can get a new car when it dies, shoot I'll be a full fledge mechanic by the time this car dies.....if I ever let it lol. 3 more years and it's an antique, no more inspections to pass lol

I love promoting fighting bugs with bugs but by the time u ordered and received it could be to late.
This video shows how to recreate mighty wash, a solution that could be used up to the point of flush during harvest. After u get the basic materials, most of which r in most peoples homes u could make this 1000 times over and never have to buy pesticides again for less than 20$. Haven't got to try it yet but the theories seem correct and if u cross refference to what's in mitey wash it adds up.
Then u have sns 217, it isn't sold near me so I have to wait 5-7 days pending what day of the week I order . But those should straighten u out. I also hear a good soil drench in combo with these is azomax, don't know much about it yet, haven't researched it. I believe sns carries a similar product, 207 or 203 I think. It gets sucked up into the leaves so when the little bastards feed on ur leaves they get sick/ die or don't eat anymore, breaking there life cycle. Technically there soft body membrane can be killed by almost anything that hits them or changes there environment, unfortunately a female can exponentionaly reproduce up to 1000000 eggs in a month. If it's on small plants simply turning them upside down in the sink and hosing the leaves down, having a buddy helps or if u take a paper plate and cut a slit in it to cover the dirt on the pot then flip it upside down should help save the dirt. This in combo with removing infected leaves and washing ur hands before going back to touch a different plant. What most people forget to do is to wash the pot, besides the plant lol. I didn't know for a while either y they kept coming back. So I tore down the plastic lining my room and put up all new, bombed the room, washed, added predator bugs and a weekly wash of 10:1 water: Rosemarry/cayenne oil I make in a coffe pot then add 1/2 tbsp mr bubble to each squirt bottle. U do have to do a heavy straight water spray following cause I read it can clog the plants pores. Well what ever u use let me know how it goes cause I hate those little buggers and will be rooting for ya

Thanks for the link, I like it.

Today will the last photo update for several weeks. We are moving and we have a lot of stuff to do. Grow room has already been emptied and just waiting for lights on to transport them all to my grow buddy. He will be helping me get them back to health and keeping them safe until we get situated into our new surroundings. I'll be visiting the forums regularly but no photos updates.

The Spider mites got out of control on one plant...no images of her, she's way too ugly.
X2 is still churning along like a champ but everything has been moved out of her way so she doesn't get the mites as bad as the other.

quick update.
X2 is still doing her thing but she is now in a tent, at a friends house. With an LED light!! It's nothing fancy but we're hoping every little bit helps. She doesn't have much mite damage but will be treated tomorrow regardless. Some of the pics are crap but I got them uploaded anyways.

Thanks bud, it hasn't been easy let me tell you.

For someone who had to move home Mike, you have done well to keep this whole thing going :goodjob:. I have moved plants in an NFT tray during flowering before to know how difficult it can be.

The girls are looking nice Mike. I wish you large and tasty nuggets my friend.

re: Tbob Does Flowering Clones in Soil & Hydro 2014

Tomorrow begins the 6th week of flowering. It's been a pain in the ass and I couldn't have done it without help from my grow buddy, he really saved my ass with us having to move in the middle of all this. He will be rewarded well, just FYI.

I'll be going to his house tonight to check on things and see how they are doing. A Trichome check will be included in the next update as well as new bud porn. I haven't even seen her since last weekend when she was showing more clear than milky trichs.

re: Tbob Does Flowering Clones in Soil & Hydro 2014

Sorry to hear of the mites and the move Mike, but your plants actually look great - especially X2! I'm subbed, sounds like you have a really cool grow buddy - wish I did! Keep up the good work

re: Tbob Does Flowering Clones in Soil & Hydro 2014

X2 was harvested on Monday. She's been hanging up to dry since then and will be going into jars tonight. I was able to sample some last night and it was really good. 3 out of 3 people said it tasted like grape candy but still has a great high. Sadly the harvest wasn't shit since I had so many different problems with her this summer due to the fucking horrible Texas heat and nasty ass SPider Mites. She is Nothing but little popcorn buds and they are so wispy and fluffy. I'll by lucky to get an ounce off her. I'm done with this strain and she will not be coming back to my gardens. I'll stick to power flower or some other better strain.

X1 is still going strong, I gifted her to my grow buddy for all his help. I would not have anything if it weren't for him. X1 will produce much better than X2 did just for the simple fact that she was outside for about 5 weeks.
