Hi Sue,
Thanks so much for the reply. I went ahead and transplanted it yesterday about noon time. Here is a photo taken about 6:30......he or she is looking much happier to me. It did have an abundance of roots. Maybe not what I would consider root bound, but a lot of roots. When the lights come on this morning if it still looks this happy I'll be tickled.
There ya go beez. It's a she. Look at the blossoms coming in. At this stage you can identify the sex. A female will sprout the blossoms nice and symmetrically placed in the crook of the branches. A male shoots them off to the side, because he's gonna blast you with a bunch of pollen sacs and they need to catch the wind for effective pollination.
>>>When does the plant show sex? I tried to gather info about pre flowers for last grow, but that bag seed plant was showing me 2 split hairs before it grew out into a leaf/branch.
6-8 weeks from seed. I've never had one take longer than that to show pistils.
>>>Can you show me how to screen genders with pre flowers or whatever other method there is to determine gender early?
Here are girls:
Here's a boy (actually this is a girl with a pollen sac):
See the difference?
