The ability to take clones and hold cultivars! You can take and save a cutting of each plant before you flower them. Just put them in a cup soil in a spot with light (I use my bathroom). Once you’ve tried all the moms they came from you can keep your favorites and always have the same product going!
in the future, I can walk you through the steps of creating a bonsai mom! You can keep them in a solo cup worth of dirt, and they’ll give you 8-12 new clones every couple of weeks. I just took cuttings off my Star Pupil mom. She’s probably given me 20 clones already. She’s still in a solo cup.
Now if I happen upon a photo strain that really rocks my world, I would certainly clone it. Like if I can ever get some Ghost Train Haze and it's as good as described, I would definitely clone it! (Those are some damn hard seeds to find in fem.)

Yeah I plan to do it every 6 months or so. Wow her root system looks really healthy even that cramped.Sometimes after being in H2O2 at the beginning my seeds won't sink (from the bubbles), but they still seem to sprout either way.

The problem is you never know until you smoke the product, and at that point it’s too late! Better to take a clone and not regret it later. But I know what you mean. And yeah, I up on cloning. My space is so limited, however, that it's not a high priority. That probably will change when I'm able to set up a second tent. Plus, I love variety and enjoy going from strain to strain. With so many to choose from, browsing an online seedbank is better than being in a candy store when I was a kid!

I hear ya' @ChefDGreen! I usually buy seeds in 3-packs and drop 2. It would be just my luck to smoke up some bomb buds that I'd love to clone and then be unable to get the third seed to pop, or to grow it to find it has no resemblance to the first pheno! That would be so normal.
Makes sense, @InTheShed. But, I haven't been able to convince any of my old, pot-head friends to start growing. I have no one to pass clones along to. I got into to this hobby so late in life that I'm pretty much flying solo, except for all of the great folks on this site! Maybe I'll visit a few Senior Citizen's homes and do some recruiting.

I don't recommend the super crop method. There are less exciting ways to do it!Great frost and a new method of supercropping! I may need to update my thread
