Volksball's Second Waltz With The White Widow, 2019

Hey friends...

About a week since my last post, and the girls have come along well. Since backing off the CalMag, the girls seem fine when adding the bump up.

The front two plants started showing a bit of a deficency, so I upped them to 7.0. The other three are still at 6.5. They all seem happy. Going to do a semi-flush on the next feeding.

Pistils are starting to color up and buds are fattening. You'll notice in one of the pictures, the slowest budding plant is still trying her best, but being outshone by the rest. Her leaves look great and she uses up her water in good time, but not a heck of alot compared.

Sorry if there are too many pics, but whoever said that? Battery in my phone went below flash level mid-shoot. Whatever.

Thanks everyone.

Looking excellent! I didn't see any deficiencies but some folks seem to be using 7g/gallon with no issues.
Hey thanks...

Yeah, I'm only using it on the front two who are pushing out alot. They were both showing something, but it seemed to clear up since the last feeding. I'm watching for the return. The rest stay at 6.5g.

Evening folks..

I always love the second or third day after a watering. I find that's where the real growth pushes happen.

After flushing three gallons of tap water through, the plants got their regular feed on Sunday evening. 7.0g of MC for the front two (who seem to be the hungriest, for obvious reasons) and 6.5g for the rest.

Into the home stretch. Just under six weeks since the lights flipped, so I'm guessing they're in and around five weeks into flower.

Daytime numbers are about 24c/40%. 19c/45% in the evening.

Day 101/41F

Thanks,
V

Hey friends,

The buds seem to be fattening nicely on the front two. Back left is starting to yellow a bit, but I imagine that'll start coming soon from most at now, near the seven week mark from flip.

Dosing the MC is getting tough, because no matter how hard I close the jar, it takes on water and compromises the weight. I up a few tenths per gallon to compensate. Not exact, but seems ok.

Getting the temps and humidity down now. Aiming for 40% or less and 24/17 celcius.

You'll notice the one pic of the middle plant where the pistles look bleached, likely because she's right under the light. I was out of options there, so what happens happens to her. I'm learning the golden number of plants for my tent and I think the number is four, if I'm growing them in this fashion. Should I expect any good bud there? They seem semi fat, just pale.

And, holy yo-yos! I think I've reordered these things five or six times. Ah well, they work.

Thanks,
V

Nice yoyo warehouse VB! Killer colas in there.

I would leave the MC in the bag so you can squeeze the air out before you seal it. In the meantime, you can find silica moisture suckers in almost everything you buy lately, so toss a few of those in. If not, I would try turning on the oven to it's lowest setting and then let it cool to around 90ºF, and then put the jar in and see if that dries it out.

In terms of the bleached pistils, if the trichomes look good you should be okay. I would drag it off to the side into a gap (if you have one) to keep it away from the light.

Thanks for having a look! Yeah, no gaps and no freeing her. The network of yoyos has her trapped. Good luck, young one.

I have another bag of MC on the way and not much of this one left. Maybe a clean switch if it gets here on time.

Hey guys,

7 weeks from flip and im starting to see some yellowing leaves middle/up on a few plants. Am I reading that right? Just fading? Or should that not be happening quite yet?

I'll try to get some pics tomorrow.

Thx.

I would think some fade 7 weeks into flower would be on target unless you're looking at really long-flowering strain, or it spreads quickly!

Though it should be more middle down for fade. Let's see pics...
No, don't think either. It's 8-9 weeks. But am I counting the first week after flip? Arent they more like 6 weeks in?

Hey guys,

A couple pictures from one of my two yellowing plants. They hit 50 days from flip today.

MrS is right, there is a lot going on. First, there's tip burn. From there, we can move on to what too much fertilizer does to a plant.

Excess nitrogen and phosphorus create higher and higher demands for magnesium, and excess potassium will prevent the uptake of nitrogen, creating a vicious cycle. Also, there are a few leaves that actually look like it could be a boron deficiency, which is created by excess nitrogen.

I would water with plain water to runoff next time and check the PPM of your runoff. You may not need any more nutes at all before harvest if the numbers are high.
