White Widow - First Ever Grow Attempt

I vegged a 5 ft by 3 ft area (1.5m x 0.9m) with 216W (4xT5 HO tubes) of CFL for many months

First in regular CFL spectrum

Later in purple spectrum CFL (I moved the light up out of the way for the photo)

Notice how in the first photo one end of the light is hung much higher than the other end to get the light closer to different height plants. I like light 6" (15cm) until the plants get about 8" (20 cm) tall, then I run as close as possible without actually burning the leaves, as close as 1/2" (1 cm.) This is with 54 watt tubes. For a 200 watt light bulb you might double the distance.

The light from a CFL bulb leaves equally from all sides of the tubes. Thus straight tubes and reflectors covers more area and deliver more lumens in a downward direction than hanging light bulbs deliver.

Hey everyone how you all doing?

So today is a sad day :( I invite each and every one of you to say your goodbyes to White Widow.
She was attacked with a pair of scissors and has been butchered and dismembered. We have some crime scene pictures to circulate.

A suspect has been apprehended and is quoted as saying "I should wear gloves next time, my fingers are so sticky...."
after gathering all the dismembered piece together and putting them on the scales the White Widow weighed 488grams wet, taken in the prime of her life :(

These next to photos confirms something I asked a few weeks/months ago, will the plant put out roots where it touches the soil? Didnt get much of an answer kept an eye out for rot as someone mentioned, so left it and it turns out it did put out roots where i left the stem in the soil. I may run an experiment on the next Exodus Cheese I run and when I use the LST it i'll keep the soil around the stem, the thinking is if I can get roots along the stem it should provide better growth as nutes will have a more direct way to where they are needed....

I did lose some bud from White Widow found some mold hidden in one of the buds so let that go didnt want any chance of having any contamination, ah well shit happens
