HGS Black Pearl & Black Queen

I started 2 of each strain everyday the last 3 days. Nuthins popped yet. For this grow i'm using perlite and organic compost in a 60-40 ratio. Foxfarms nutes for flowering but just MG during veg. probably use a 20-20-20 once or twice during a 5 week veg period. 1000 watt mh/hps with about 500 watts in cfls to go under the canopy if needed. I can't wait to see these strains grow. I'll post when there's a sprout.

man these seeds are trippy quick and I think this one is looking at me!!!

i never seen a seed w/a spot on the tip!? anyone?, anyone? well i think it kinda looks like big-nippled boob so imma keep it anyways. LOL also a second queen came to the light around 4 or 5 am. i seriosly cant focus on it cause stupid digital auto focus, so no pix till its out of the dirt a bit. if everythings linear the black pearls should show up in the next 24 hours or so with the 2 additional queens 24 hours after that. my m/h wasnt working right! i didnt realize it but thanks to getsumkin i was able to see that my cfl rig was way brighter than that bulb. you can see it in my grow room pics as well. htg agreed that i shouldnt be able to sit there and basicly read numbers off the inside of the bulb comfortably after its been on a week or however long ive had it 24/7. new one coming express and the hps covering for now. dang i guess the 'hitterz' are doing their job

Put your camera on macro mode. usually signified by a little flower. It will let you take close up shots. Congrats on the seeds popping. Thats always a good thing.

thanks mcbudz but its still flush - and the exact same color- with the dirt. The camera has all the functions plus some new ones to me like splashing water! however the thing just snaps shots of perilite currently, but the first one has shed its shell, is green up the stem, grown a mm, and is opening up very quickly at right around 30 hours since surfacing.. VERY good seeds. I hope they all have spots, cause 1 boob is good but 2 much better. I can't wait to get that shot of the pair. what do you think bee23 , too obscene?

good you two cause the latest didnt give up growin and a couple squirts of water later 'bq2' was ready for her debut. i assigned the numbers in order of their arrival above ground but also there will be 2 strains covered on the thread so initials will have to be used to keep me from getting confused.

the Black Pearl will be designated BP and hopefully will be as fast to hatch as the queens. puts them 2 BP's sometime tomorrow, with 2 more BQ's to follow 24 hours later. Awesome stuff. Also you guys i didnt bother waiting so i got a couple of other strains on order at hgs -hindu kush and poison afgan. yumma-dum-dum! with something pretty from dutch passion called powerplant as well as a sensi strain named jack flash #5. the last two are feminised. 14 weeks or so to grow now!, ill be takin a couple early/late with the rest on time as spec'd by the manufacturer. i love getting high but i also love beer, and watchin the kids and of course getting off the couch. so ill be doing the early/late to gauge my tastes with the on time ones being for real guaranteed to be a smash hit! thanx for the grow support advise mcbudz on that. hopefully i'll still be able to function after this coming 420. i should be able to make it at least with the earlys. oh and i also like'ee tha pr0n'z too guys. long live boobie budz

they are the heartiest seeds i personally have ever seen. if by cultivate you mean i had a hand in producing such wonderful creatures - NO - high grade seeds is that angel!, but if you mean by cultivate did i just stick em in the dirt then go all archeology careful to dig em up routinely then yea im your boy. but i didnt remove them,just checkin to see the root. is it coming, established, or dormant so i don't know if cultivation applies. if its coming it's covered loosely with all the dirt it had and scheduled for another peek later, established get supported on all sides but the top, i leave it in the lite a couple hours then cover its top very loosely with 2-3 mm of dirt, spray lightly with water and act surprised later - BQ2 has already popped back out since the post earlier, and i thought it was a little weak in the stem so i covered it with a lil dirt and 2-3mm of wood chips, stem issue solved. i quess i'd wait for a dormant one but i never had that problem so i don't know how long before i pursued a more aggressive germi' stance. all i know is i had bad luck germin w/the paper towel every time and never w/dirt mostly cause of that fragile initial transplant, this way they just get light a little sooner and in one container. plus those bomb craters they're in are keeping them out of the 4 fans im running and the moisture from the walls i think might keep em a lil cooler too. BQ2 has popped her own top as did BQ1 who is almost completely green now but her stalk already has purple fur 3/4 of the way up. most amazing thing ever. Spoiler Alert i've know for like 15 hours or so that both black pearls were w/root. BP1 has already broke all her dirt and i went ahead gave the 2-3mm extra shes visible again but just a hair under the surface. i also believe you should'nt take you plants chance to break the surface away it's an important milestone for them you know, but you have to give them every opportunity to succeed as well. so making it easier for them is a good compromise plus i get to plan ahead. like all the plants so far have had established roots at 2 1/2 days so they'll probably outgrow my space with ease. what a beautiful problem i can't wait to have to solve it.
