I've never had an issue with drying my herbs... but I've never done it where the relative humidity is between 30 and 40% on a daily basis.
With the humidity this low, if I use the method I would normally use at the beach (hang 3 days, then cure in jars/ziplocks), it will be dry and brittle...
This is my first grow. I only have 3 plants outside but not sure when to Harvest. 1 plant looks almost ready the other 2 are not as ready. I live in Central California where it is very hot. Also if I just have a few plants do I really need to cure it after drying?
I have a handful of plants that are 4 weeks into flowering. They have all been trimmed up (lollipopped) and they get nutrient watering every fee days (or until the top soil looks dry - this is to lessen the presence of fungus gnats). One blueberry haze plant started to dry and wilt week 2 into...

Hi All :welcome:
I am currently nearing the end of my first grow. I have done a little bit of defoliating, and these fan leaves I have kept in a small plastic bag in my closet to dry out naturally.
My plan has been to keep collecting them from the beginning of my grow until the end when I...
Hello everyone
I was thinking about my product and how to improve the quality of the product because my plant is going to finish in two to three weeks (soil grown, Lowryder#2). So I have a question, How do I improve the taste of my product, like giving it a fruity taste like orange flavor? And...
I have a 6x6 grow tent with webbing on side walls and back. I figure I have about 4 lbs., outside blueberry to dry and cure.
I'm using 2- 16" ceiling mounted fans pointed straight down with no direct exposure, a small temp. adjustable heater, and a 400 cfm. exhaust fan to pull the air, ducted...
So this is my first time growing, it came out a lot nicer than I thought though:thumb: Now for drying I was thinking of building a box out of cedar wood and hanging the plants inside there. I have read a lot about people laying down their plants and buds in a cedar box but haven't found anything...
Sharing my idea that seems to working well for me. I took a medium size Tupperware bin and one small pc fan and one large pc fan, the large fan i used to pull air out of the tub and the small one to pull air in. On the back wall of the tub I used a hole saw but heavy duty scissors will make...
Thanks for taking a look at my thread. I'm going to try to explain my interpretation of all of the harvest / dry / cure threads that I have read as they pertain to the way I grow- small scale for personal medical use. I have had about a half dozen grows under my belt during the the past few...
Hey mate, fellow aussie here.. Ur plants look ok tho i think they may be little under developed as opposed to you leaving the fan leaves on her.. Ive heard do/dont trim argument and im for tucking or tying unless they diseased or dead.. I tend to like my girls to grow without much interference...
Hi there,
Please someone help! Harvested 20 days ago. Manicured and hanged the plants up in the attic. Wasn't very sure about humidity, although it felt dry and is ventilated.
After 12 days, bud hadn't dried much, and found one with mould!
I've since separated two batches. One in a shoe...
Hi, I need some advice, quickly!
I harvested four days ago and placed branches in paper bags.
I rotated them twice per day and was going to finish trimming and put in jars but they dried really quick this time and are brittle.
How can I re-moisten them?
:thankyou:
So I am just about ready to harvest and chop my plant. Lately I have had a support to help keep the main stem of the plant to stay rigid, but for the first time on the plant i noticed that the main stem falls over without the support. How worried should I be and does this mean i should harvest...
I am trying to get rid of that hay smell that sometimes accompanies drying buds. I am following the curing process that I have read from many websites...hang upside down in a dark place for 2 weeks with lots of ventilation, when the stems start 2 "snap" when I bend them I take the plant down and...
