You need to defoliate your plant a lot before you switch to flower or you will have a lot of popcorn bud and wasted energy being used to far from the lights. Defoliating allows that energy to be used elsewhere.
Got the led Thursday this light is soooooo bright. Its bigger than I was expecting but the right size for the box.
The plant seems to be enjoying it a lot
Looks pretty good. I still recommend to defoliate a great deal. Most of that growth will need to be trimmed when you have it in flower because it is going to only contribute little popcorn buds especially if you leave it as dense as it is. The buds need space to grow.
Well yeah its something you stay on top of and cant do just sporadically if your intention is to accomplish anything. After a few times it will stop growing low and try for higher up. Think of it as training the plant to do what you want it to and that is to get the most growth to the closest point to the light without burning the plant to a crisp. What I am about to start doing the next grow is use cut toilet paper tubes and wrap it around the lower part of the plant so its dark on that part of the stem so no growth will be there. Im not sure of the amount of benefit but I imagine it will be a benefit of it to learn to regrow up top instead of down low faster would result in less energy wasted. Its something I thought of a few weeks ago and been saving tubes ever since.I may even use paper towel tubes eventually when the plant is surpassing that in height.
You know I thought of something like that but thought it was a dumb idea since I had no evidence or anything to relate it to. I'm going to upload the pics now with the light on
Well if you are dumb then im also dumb but either way if you do it first let me know. My next grow sadly wont be until September or even October so you will get to find out before I do im sure
True true. As soon as it shows its sex I will clone it and try it. I'm starting the flower cycle today and I should know in about a week maybe week and a half
Yep week and a half or longer some may show before but usually in the range stated. The 2 preflower weeks do not count towards the 8 weeks of flowering since the flowers don show until about 2 weeks after the switch.
