2 x 400W

Will 2 x 400w hps lights be enough coverage for a 5*5 tent 8 plants. Just finished a grow with 2 x 600w and temps where way too high 6 plants all foxtailed. Had 5" fan filter extract, 5" inline.
Summer on its way?
Would a air cooling unit help or up the extract to 6" on a tight budget. Cheers

Better to move the air then trying to cool hot air down. The bigger exhaust will be your best bet.

6" or 8" extraction for 2 x 600's

Depends which brand of fan were talking about... personally I think 8 inch would be overkill for a 25 sq ft tent unless your looking at can fans, then you’d need a few. The cloudline AC infinity fans are an excellent choice, I’d recommend their 6inch fan. I have both their 8” and 6” fans and the 8” fan doesn’t even get used. Lol It’s too powerful and loud and it’s just not practical to be running constantly.

I'm running single 400w hps in a cool tube with a 6" fan dialed down to 50% and its easily keeping temps in check, I also have 350w of led in my 4x4' and it's only running a few degrees hotter than the ambient temperature.
The exhaust air seems very hot so it's doing a good job.
