I’ve never transplanted so not sure on how much water you think they be alright with the 0.5litre I gave em and wait ? Or give some more till run off when lights come back don’t want to under or over water and Yeah I used the lift method all the way through my first grow worked perfect for me think I’m gunna try watering the edges and gettting root ball to the best it can be cause that was my issue first time didn’t have a big root system sorry for the questions

It won't hurt to give them a little more. Are they "praising" the light? Have they perked up? I use coco so watering is different for me now but in soil I would usually water to about 70-80% saturation because I am a chronic over waterer. Thats why I switched to coco.

Ok maybe another half a litre ? So means they had a litre all together since transplant do you think it be to much And cause overwatering and no I don’t think they were droopy abit lights off atm be back on at 4:00pm so can post a picture then when lights come back on

Thanks for the feedback appreciate it can put my mind at ease when you give slow full watering how much run off did you get ? Yeah gunna defo give it a try heard a lot f good stuff about it
It's a learned thing. The way I'm doing it now is to see the runoff and whatever doesn't get absorbed back into the pot in 20 minutes i suck up from the saucer the pot's in. In time it gets so I don't need to vac so much, I just know how much they take to make the " drain and suck back" happen.

Tell ya what I would suggest for future transplanting.
Number 1 I would suggest bigger than 3 gallon pots and fabric instead of non breathable plastic.
A minimum of 7 gallon fabric.

But regardless of pot size and material I would WET your soil and I mean thoroughly top to bottom and use a wetting agent like Yucca and or Aloe Vera to make sure there are no dry spots no soil that's still hydrophobic.
Do that a few days before you transplant so that your soil is uniformly moist.
Then do exactly what you did to transplant.
Then water it in very good with some aloe vera water so it closes up all the air pockets from the transplant.

Then if you're in a plastic pot follow Emily's basic watering technique from there once your soil is uniformly moist and non hydrophobic.

If you go to fabric pots then just water freely because you're not going to overwater in a fabric pot if your soil has proper aeration, the roots get plenty of oxygen and the soil dries out much faster.
And always put the pot, especially fabric ones on pot elevators.

Does this have something to do with the plant re-uptaking harmful salts?
For fabric pots it has to do with the roots not being able to air prune if the pot is sitting flat on a hard surface so they could even start to swirl around and get a bit bound up on the bottom.
For plastic pots you just get better drainage which plastic pots desperately need if they are held up out of the water the soil can drain better.

Seems to be happy just checked on them soil still damp does look good to you all been 24 hours since transplant ? When would I see signs of shock ? Gunna give couple days then will give first soak till run off just worried they won’t have enough water down there

They look great jd. At this age (size) they can wilt a little and be ok. Not a lot of wilt, I have to be able to look at them several times a day and ask myself, are they drooping just a little? When I can say yes is when I put water on them. That tell, if you will, then water, is my way of keeping them growing roots as fast as I know how.
That's me. There's a way for everyone. If I can't look in on them twice a day I wouldn't do it this way.

Thanks for the advise has stop me stressing out so much Monday to Friday I work so only get a chance once a day so I try my best lol do you think Let em dry up then slowly give em a full water ? Always overstress watering apologies all
