Air Pots - question to growers

if you start your plants out in 1 gallon air pots and latter transplant them into a larger air pot,will the roots that have air pruned begin to grow again. if useing this method will it hinder or cause any delay or problems at all such as stunting or stagnation.;)

Long dead thread, sure - but warrants an answer. I would suspect growth would start again from the root tip and the process would repeat once they were channeled into the cones.

Just because roots are pruned doesn't mean they stop growing, in fact they grow back more vigorous and have more roots. They are constantly being pruned because they are constantly growing.

So transplanting is fine, in fact Geo pots make velcro pots just for easy transplants.
