Bud with black & purple what's wrong?

Any idea whats happened here guys ? I am unsure. So it was the top of a main cola and it just started going a funny colour over time. So i cut it of just in case. No others where like this. This was the highest point on one bud thought it may be burned.

Probably just a colourful strain in the early stages of going purple, IMO. So- genetics mainly, I would guess. But with all strains there are environmental factors like nutrients given, temps, watering habits, which affect the colour as well.

Yh don't think its a strain thing. skunk auto 47 . I did look that bit up. Nor right i think definitely never had it happen before also the weed had no smell at all despite all the resin and crystals

Do you have a friend to trust who would confirm no smell at all.
You see, if you're around the weed all day every day your perceiving of it does diminish, not usually to no smell though.

Just looks like colder night temps brought out the color on the strain. I don't think anything is wrong with the plant or buds though

I agree I don’t think there is anything wrong as in disease or fungus or anything like that, requiring it to be chopped. It could mean other issues though., or it could be just natural. I’ve had a lot of strains colour for different reasons. Some of them were bad reasons, like constant overwatering

What are your night time temps? I have a buddy who just chopped down his grow because he couldn't get the temps in his barn above 40 at night. All of his plants went dark green and purple.

Like others have mentioned, it could be the strain, or another environmental. But being as its cold as hell out, and I'm not sure were abouts on the planet you are, I figured I'd ask about night time temps. I'm struggling to keep my night time temps above 60 with a space heater..... It was 5f this morning when I got up.

Is the very top of the bud turning white or is that just the light from taking the pics ? I had a grow that the plants got so big they were hell to keep away from the lights. Being so close it turned the tops of the buds snow white. Had to chop right away before it hermied. Still ended up with a few seeds & had to throw the white part of the buds out as it wasn't any good to smoke.
I think it's just your light though; but had to ask to be sure.
Have you broke open a bud to check for any rot ? Not saying anything is wrong as like the others said, could be the strain. Just things I'd check to be sure that's what it is.

Jumped the gun with the snips.

Plant issues "usually" start from the btm and work their way up. There are a few exceptions but are pretty rare with cannabis.

Next time, take a pic first before chopping. How's the rest of your plant?

I am on a new grow now. Still wasn't happy with that other at all. Grown for years never seen such colour develop ever so scared me lol

I sorta shy away from AUTOs cause I run organic soil and they never get very big for me.
