C02 tank issue

I have a 50lb C02 tank, so I called my local gas provider to see how much it would cost to fill it. The guy told me $26 (GREAT), but they have to ship it out to fill it and it's a week turnaround to get it back. I'm just worried about nosey inquiries into what I'm using it for if they require ID. What should I say I'm using 50lbs of C02 for?

I have to use co2 when I weld titanium -a week turn around seems a bit much

do you have anyone in your town that services fire extinguishers?? ive had them fill my tanks when weld supplies were closed before

always the same answer as blazer420 said" mig welder"

Yeah, GMAW or "MIG" or "wire feed welding". All the same thing. While 75% Carbon Dioxide 25% Argon is a more common shielding gas, pure Carbon Dioxide is also used.

How the heck do you weld such a reactive metal as Ti with a non inert gas? I use 100% Argon for all my GTAW.

the co2 is used to keep the oxygen out of our tank ('welders run on argon)

we use a pressuresized tank(old sand blasting cabinet)

all of our exhaust systems are made from ti- the pipes that need repair go into this tank

I need to stop by my shop later,i'll snap some pics of the setup
