Can I dump my ashtray into my container that my plant is growing in?

I saw something where a guy was adding ash from his wood stove to his soil. Can I use the ash from the joints I smoke, it's just weed an paper

In a small pot a large amount of ash may raise the pH a touch.
 
I don't think it would hurt your plants, but also I don't think there is anything good in it either. Potash is what people use for gardens, and that is made from burning HARD woods, not soft weedy plants like our ladies.
Bamboo is a good source of ashes.

We dump the ashes in our compost bin.
