Chinnubie's Last Purple Kush Plant

I think I've got the vegging part down pretty good it's getting them to flower properly that's been my biggest challenge. These frankenstein clones have been coming along fantastically well, plus I've been paying close attention to the PH before and after waterings. Bringing the PH up with the Growolgy step 2 isn't to tough, but the step 3 is more difficult even with 8-9 PH tap water. If anyone has some suggestion to bring PH up using promix, I'm all ears.

I'm updating the Frankenstein clones and have placed them into the new and improved flower closet. I was able to get the fan rigged-up to take the heat out from the lights so the temp remains a constant 81 degrees with lights on and the door shut. I was surprised that the larger plant didn't grow all that much more over the last week or so, almost as if to say, hey it's cool, I'll wait til I get into the closet to stretch out under the more intense light. I was worried they would over-grow the veg boxes but no issue at all. Here are the latest pics.

Just got done giving Lil frank & Big frank their first step 3 watering, plus cal/mag and PH'd the solution to 5.95. These plants have the appearance of producing some really nice size flowers, but we'll just have to wait and see.

The clones are flourishing, doing really well. the thickness on the stems is amazing. The Step 3 Growology has some nitrogen but has been adjusted for flowering. The plants have only been in flower for a couple of days when these pics were taken.

Have you tried putting your girls under bloom bulbs for about a week while still on veg schedule before you flip to flower? It helps jump start flowers when you go to 12/12.

The stretch is on with both clones. Roughly 4-6 inches since putting them in flower 12 days ago. This strain sprouts leaves like crazy, you take a bunch of them away, then it's like you never took the leaves in the first place. I think I've finally gotten most of the pieces of the puzzle and will try to make these frankenstein plants grow the best they can.

14 days in flower and these Frankenstein clones are going great. After figuring out the calibration of the PH meter and making sure every watering is properly PH'd at 6.0 I can almost taste the trichomes. This is supposed to be an 80% indica and she has been showing her genetics really well. Stocky cola stems and large rounded leaves. I couldn't be happier with these clones. I just came into two more flowering Frankenstein clones that I'm going to re-veg then re-flower. I think these clones were 30-something days in flower when they were cut and they have little tiny buds on top with trichomes all over the place. I've included pics of these clones with the updated pics from today.

Very nice looking girls you have there Chinnubie, good luck with your new clones.

+reps!!!!

Got some really great pics of the re-vegging clones along with some updated pics of the ladies and I couldn't believe it, to see trichomes under 21 days. I'm going to defoliate & flush the plants on the 6th or 7th. The PH run-off of the last watering was at 5.0 being to low to take up all nutrients, hence the flush to get the PH adjusted properly. I haven't really flushed a plant to eliminate the salts and other bad minerals. They are showing some small signs to indicate PH fluctuation with minor leaf curl, but I don't want to wait for what could ruin the grow.

The trichomes are finally beginning to absorb back into the plant and there are leaves starting to grow. These clones will take-off once they fully re-veg.

Updated pics of the ladies.

Sorry for the yellowing color from the HPS lights.

Just before you chop your current flowering plants you might want to take some cuttings for another round of LFs from your vegging clones and keep the strain going.

I plan on getting another clone or 2 to keep it going when the little clones get big enough before the next flowering. I attempted to get a clone to root, but we'll have to wait and see what happens. The frankenstein strain is pretty new, trying to find info on the strain takes me back to this page. I've seen where people that smoked nothing but concentrates said they were still able to break their tolerance levels with this indica strain. Got some frost after 20 days in flower, can't wait to harvest these girls.

To the best of my knowledge the reason there isn't any information about Little Frankenstein Marijuana Strain is because as I mentioned, it is a strain that AMS was developing and now they give them as free seeds. It's probably not an actual strain, but something they were trying to develop.

Whatever the reason I'm glad they did.

I sent them an email asking about the free seeds they give with every order and this is the reply I received.

RE: Little Frankenstein

Dear Mark,

Sorry, that is just a term of endearment. They are a mixed batch of experimental seeds.

Best regards,

So to get all caught up from earlier this week. I flushed the home depot bucket plant with 7 gallons of water; PH'd the first 5 gallons at 6.0 and the remaining 2 gallons at 7.5-8 and the run-off got up to 5.3. Every time I watered these plants the PH of the solution was 6.0. I'm praying most of the left-over salts have been washed out but unsure if I can bring the PH up another 1/2 point. Lime kind of scares me, should I try another flush after it gets dried out next week? Watered 1.5 gallons of plain PH'd water into the other plant but got very little run-off. I was gonna feed both plants next week after seeing what happens with the plants over the next 5 or 6 days. They both look really good and want to make sure they finish out good for the New year. How often should plants in soiless mediums be flushed out?

Anyway, the re-vegging clones look crazy as hell. The trichomes are all but gone now and they are both beginning to make normal nodes and leaves, although it's still working out it's changing structure. It's very difficult to see through the leaves but after looking really close she's turning around and the process is weird/fantastic at the same time. Here are some pics.

Found this little critter hanging from a leaf. The only one I saw and no eggs on leaves. Any ideas?

Might have to blow up the screen to see it better. Thanks if anyone knows.

The little clones have re-vegged and I just fed their first round of step 2, 1 gallon each. They should really go nuts now. I'm gonna cut the one bladed leaves off once I'm confident the plants have enough leaves to grow normally. Funny how the shoots come from beneath the one-bladed leaves.
