Clone question

High all

So my clones have been in happy frog for about a week or so and seem pretty healthy. How long should I wait to top them? Or should I not top them at all?

The main stem is way to strong to even think about low stress training.
Any advice would be much welcomed. Its my first time cloning.

Definitely don't have to, but if you want to, wait till you notice some good fresh growth. That way you'll know the roots have taken. Doesn't have to be a huge topping either. Just the very tip. You can even bend it slightly each day at the fresh growth, and it will branch out some. Once they're established ...usually within a week, treat just like any other plant.

Thank you Chrondocious! I was pretty success ful so far only lost one out of 6 cuttings and they are growing like weeds.

Yes, this. Wait until the new leaves are growing as large or larger than the leaves on the original cutting. A sure sign of a healthy vigorous root system.

I like to wait for a few nodes worth of new growth before the decision on whether to top them.
