Trifoliate Breeding And Some Different Stuff

Gonna attempt some more journaling. This should be fun. I made some of my own seeds last year, and plan on doing it again this year. I popped some UGL Tangie Whine, which is not the well known cross. This is orange cookie Mac x DV brandy whine I believe. Something along those lines. I have a few popped but one turned out to be a triploid. Never had this before, but did a bit of reading today, and seems to be the next thing in cannabis breeding. Apparently this plant has an extra set of chromosomes. Could be interesting. It was the slowest seed to pop, and almost got tossed, but looks good now, and Ive decided to play around some. I'll post pics of my garden throughout. Not the best journalist, but I try. Lol

What you have is not a triploid, it's a trifolate (only two sets of chromasomes). Triploids are sterile and produce no seeds.
Ah.....I see. Lol. Even after more reading, it's still a bit confusing. But you are correct. Lol. It'll just be a pretty plant. Either way, gonna keep this going, but is there a way to change my title to the correct term?

Chopped this girl today. Happy New years! This is Northern Angel from UGL seeds. Wasn't the biggest fan of how she grew. She's been in flower almost 12 weeks, and she could still go a few more days IMO, but I needed to rearrange. She smells like sweet hash. Not bad, but not outstanding. She's only about 18 inches tall. Just never really stretched much. The bids looked like they were gonna be very airy at first, but they kinda filled in fairly well. She stacked pretty good as you can see. I do like the structure, if she woulda stretched more. Didn't need any support. Better be some good smoke for such the long flower time though.

Moving this journal to my other journal, 2 girls one pot. I'd like to abandoned this one, as it's labeled wrong for what I was going for. Don't want to have wrong information.
You can just hit the 'Report' icon on the lower left of any of your posts and ask a mod to change the name to something else that you suggest.

Just some pics of the veg. I've got 3 ugl Tangie wine, a mystery seed, an F2 from my sour patch kids, and a skunk N sour from a breeder no longer doing seeds. I'm digging the three sets of branches. Gave em an IPM spray and defoliated the trim plant. I really hope it's a male.

looks like some happy plants!

They love that spray. Has all types of plant extracts in it from clover to neem. I do like method 1 better though. I don't really like neem all that much. Works well, but I don't like the residue, and I've been known to fry my leaves with it. Lol. This stuff is pretty mild though. ✌️ Thanks.

Are you going to push that media against the stem? It won't root in air without heavy misting like in aeroponics.
It's in a water reservoir, with a pump timed 30 min on 30 off. That's just a slice of the peat thing that goes in the nets. Used it like those aero cloners. Lol. I know not optimal, but hoping to get better results and quicker roots. Plus this is in my bedroom, so it's a bit warmer. My night time temps get pretty cool, and I think that's messing with my germ and clone rates.

Not much happening here. Still haven't gotten a chance to take a cutting. The pot is about 5 gallons for size reference. Then the littles. The bigger one is my SPK f2, and the other 2 are my seeds but I have no clue what they are. Lol I set up my old 150 hps, to get some veggies going. They say the world's about to change, so I'm getting ahead of the curve. 🤣.....😉. Mostly I wanted to grow these really cool purple potatoes a friend from work gave me. I saved a couple and they sprouted some shoots. Gonna grow some out in this setup, and use whatever I get to make more this summer. Old school heirloom variety. Got some other stuff in there too. Happy growing.
