Cr8grow’s CMXL Auto Grow #7

You said you are going to make an adjustment for that claw before it gets bad?
Looking lovely today. :thumb:
Stay safe.
Bill
The roots should be down to the bottom of the 5 gallon pots at this point. I will be able to let the pots get light before next water/feed. I’m already leaning towards the new soil over my regular soil mix…time will tell. I need to get busy this weekend on some LST. Cheers

Day 22…first LST. These are some stout beasts. All good starting week 4. Pics today. Cheers

Hey Cr8,

Your plants are looking nice and healthy! So far so good. I will say though, while you’ve got plenty of days between waterings, you definitely should try to mist the tops of those pots. Adding moisture to the top couple inches while the rest is still being allowed to dry out will drive roots higher in the pot. The more you can completely fill the pot with roots, the more buds you’ll get.
Food for thought
:peace:

Edit: and cr8, I would ask you kindly to follow me over on my new spot - link in my signature

Chef…I think that makes sense. I’ve been thinking about a worm casting molasses organic tea…could be perfect for a light top watering. It would also pull down some oxygen. Cheers

Day 25 from sprout, mid-week 4. Good growth since first LST 2 days ago. All fed and watered this morning…pots are very heavy…likely another full week before next water. No sign of nute burn. Applied second round of LST tonight. There are pre-flowers all over, should see pistils everywhere in the next week or so and some stretch. The Twins, Viparspectra XS1000 LEDs, are doing a great job so far. Temps and humidity all good. These plants really stink early, usually a good sign of fall frost to come. Cheers

Day 28 from sprout, end of week 4. New growth ready for more LST, will do this weekend. The canopy is starting to take shape. Day temps steady at 79F and the 6 hour night 64F. Many more days before next water/feed. I will try to brew an organic worm castings tea with molasses. The tea will be a light top watering since the pots are deep heavy. The plants are vigorous and healthy. The odd one out is either starting a deficiency or variegated? It will not be treated any different. The smell is so ridiculous that my brand new 4” carbon filter can not keep up. Seriously when I open the grow cabinet the smell is overpowering. I always view that as a good sign of things to come. The Viparspectra XS1000 Twins are performing well. My first CMXL grow was stinky early. I need to find a rock solid carbon filter. Pics from tonight.

Day 30…early week five. 5 days since last water/feed, all needed water and nutes today. My new soil trial is looking very promising. I did more LST today to continue to flatten out and open the canopy. Pic before and after LST. Super bummed to hear later I lost an apical bud LST’ing the tender top. This will impact yield…but will show me what happens if you top an auto late…probably not good. Pics post-LST, but before the unintentional topping late. Cheers.

Day 36 from sprout…Day one of Week 6. I just got back from a business trip and took pics today. I see some clawing…thinking wind burn…adjusted the upper fan. The pots are almost light. I will do a deep water and feed tomorrow. Staying with organic veg food plus Budswel organic guano through stretch. I see a potential cal mag deficiency on two, may add some epsom salts. The back left plant is sad and I’m sad since I LST guillotined the main bud…that is a half oz. loss for sure. Damn you independent autos. I will do some undergrowth trimming in the next few days. I will stop LST while I’m ahead. All are throwing out pistils. Should be 4 more weeks of flower. The @ViparSpectra XS1000 Twins are doing a great job. I see two phenos, one possibly the most sativa forward CMXL Auto I’ve seen yet. I have a lot of catching up to do here on 420 Magazine. Cheers.

Day 42, end of week 6 from sprout. Last full water feed was a hybrid 50/50 Biovega and Bioflores plus 2 TBSP Budswel guano. These autos are actually on on auto pilot with travel and work interference. I will trim low and move to full flower nutes tomorrow or Sunday. The Viparspectra XS1000 Twins are doing a great job so far. I will add some epsom salts tomorrow since my organic Cal Mag is not quite keeping up. These will be some stout shrubs with likely some thick buds ready in about 4 weeks. Cheers.

Day 46, mid-Week 7. Deep water and feed 2 days ago, now full flower nutes. I did add 1 tsp. Epsom salts to both gallons of water/nutes to address what appears to be a mag deficiency. Plants are starting to consume the original big fan leaves. Flowers are building, but there was no stretch to speak of. Should be ready finished in about 3.5 weeks. Pics from last night. Cheers

Day 50 from sprout, first day of Week 8. Work and travel are consuming most of my time, definitely impacting this grow. The @ViparSpectra XS1000 twins appear to be doing a nice job. Plants are using up nitrogen in the fans and are starting to get a bit ugly. Flowering should be complete in about 3 weeks. I’m still grumbling about losing a primary bud site on one plant (back left in photos)…at least a 1/2 oz. Impact to final yield. Temps ranging 63 to 75 and RH is a bit low at 40% this morning. Pics are from this morning. Cheers

Good morning @cr8grow hope you are well today.
It seems a little early to be cannibalizing her leaves.
3 weeks to go still?
Some leaves are curling pretty bad and color is slightly off. :Namaste:
What are you feeding my friend?

Stay safe
Bill

Just returning from another unplanned trip. I did have help with water/feed this week. I expect to see some ugly bushes tomorrow that will produce some potent buds. I think humidity in my dry unfinished basement might be a variable I can control going forward. Bud quality has been consistent with my grow style but ugly plants equal lower yields. I also fed 50% veg nutes since autos. Good learning, should have gone full strength and let the leaf tips tell me when to back off. Plants are N starved but guano oumped buds should be excellent. Cheers
