Does curing improve potency or flavor?

Talking to an old grower I know, an old mentor of mine. He told me curing does little to improve potency. Potency is a byproduct of good genetics, mature trichomes, and good drying.
Curing is only for improving flavor and smokeability.
Thoughts?

Hey beard-o, I've wondered the same thing for a while.... After multiple harvest, what I see is it just helps with flavor and smoke-ability.....if anything I would think the THC content drops a bit due to the length of cure time and the degrading of the trichomes turning into cbn over time.

I'm interested to see what the more knowledgeable have to say.

Does proper curing develop more relaxed "amber thricome" ish high? I ask because I think I cut too early and the first high of newly dry before going into Grove bags was kind of agressive and paranoia like. Does curing change that at all? does it mellow like wine?
