so if i run my 400w fan at half speed will it be running at 200w or till 400w of power used just at half speed?

stupid question but spent a good hour googling it and cant come up with any anwsers

They make a plug-in adapter (looks like a timer) that will tell you how much power your pulling. "Kill A Watt" i used it to measure my total pull. hope that helps a little.

i went to pg&e and they gave me a form to have my doctor sign ! its a medical use rate form and it drops you to the lowest rate pg&e has they are tight on what the consider medical use but check it out, this took my bill from 200$ to almost nothing ! good luck !

Find out how much you are paying for a kWh (kilo watt hour) then you can use maths to answer your question, for example if it was a dollar for a kWh then you could run your 400w light for about 2.5 hours
