Fall Start: Taking On Three

Update as the girls are in week 6. I’m noting signs of deficiencies so will be making adjustments this week to see how they respond. So far I don’t think it’s seriously bad so fingers crossed. A flush was done and banana skin blocked in water on off feeding days added.

Good morning @Terminatorkader great garden.
Is it the lighting or are they hungry. :Namaste:
Slight droop going on aswell.
What are you feeding?
Stay safe.

Lighting. I just raised it an inch snd they got perkier. I’m using fox farms. All of those in the photo. They get feedings twice a week and regular water in between but I added banana water today because I’m seeing signs of potassium deficiency.

My last (which was my first grow) did very well on this fertilizer. See pic below. Hoping these girls do near the same.

I have overkill in lighting so I need to remember that. It’s two Mars hydro tsw- 2000 and a 650w viperspectre burple.

Thank Bill on the lighting reminder. They are reaching now :). Just watered in the am so I think they’ll perk up even more in an hour or so. Today was feed day

Your following the feed schedule right?
Getting everything recommended when it's recommended.
6.3 ph? After mixing nutrients?
Letting dry well in-between?
Water every other time?
I'm just a little concerned with the color.
For some reason they aren't eating everything you are giving them.
Before it gets worse we need to fix it.
Stay safe.

I’ve been checking water. Did a flush at 5 weeks before switching the lights (flooded them well). By morning the dirt is dry before waters except on morning after the flush but I just didn’t water that day. They are in fabric pots sitting on lifts to get airflow all around them. There are three fans low in there to move air. Temps stay between 64-76 Following the schedule just feeding two times a week. My water sits in gallon jugs and I rotate them gor use so it sits two nights before use. I only use the amounts that they say. Yes the back two are very light snd I think I may have light burnt them snd that’s why they aren’t getting all that they should. I raised the lights another inch snd shut off the vioerspecter. The two tsw-2000 are still on full. 19” above plants.

I will say I made the mistake of growing three different kinds at once and as you can see three of the plants are happy with the place but two (both purple haze) prefer lower light I think. Never will do more than one strain again thats for sure. Makes it tougher to find the sweet grow spot. Lesson learned there. New growth under though is strong green so hoping to figure it out soon.
The other three (front - super lemon haze, Bruce banner and a Bruce banner back right)

I added pictures of lighting, fans, humidifier and dig heater in case the basement gets too cold but it hasn’t gotten below 65 yet. 4x4x7 Mars hydro tent set up.

Below pic is without viper light so you can see true color. The two back on the left are struggling and light. Taking any advice to make this better. Oh and humidity is at 43 right now.

I think my extreme light may have been the issue but we’ll see. Lights are now 19” above canopy. They were at 16. I shut off the viper light. Took the tsw2000 lights down to 95% for today. Under the plants new growth is healthy green so that’s why I’m suspecting light burn and stress. They are looking perkier. Stay tuned and fingers crossed that’s my issue. It’s one change a day to see how they respond first before switching anything.

Open to things to try going forward. Next feeding isn’t until Sunday.

That's a good place to start.
One thing at a time.
See if that improves things.
We can adjust if that doesn't help.
Stay safe.

I was just reading how extreme light can disrupt phosphorus intake which may explain the deficiency. I’m gonna keep a close eye on the girls. I don’t think all is lost with those two :)
No you still have lots of time.
They will be great.
Stay safe.

Ok, I bought a lux meter. Right now all the plants are in the 51k-55k range of lux. I’m going to keep it here a few days. See how they are. I’m not watering today. They are still a little damp from yesterday’s feeding. They definitely are stretching and more perky.

And Happy Thanksgiving! Enjoy your families and this years blessings.

They’re looking sooo happy :) Hey @Mars Hydro I LOVE the set up I purchased. ❤️ It’s only my second grow and I’m still learning but the booklet that came with it and information has been really good to refer to. The tsw2000 lights add very little heat to the grow space, especially with the fans running. My temps are very consistent every day/night. It’s almost set it and forget it (except I have to keep on the light height). I’m bad at that but learning.

Update:

Started week 7. It looks like since the light issue was resolved the deficiency signs have stopped spreading. Newer leaves are darker so I’m going to keep the lights where they are right now. Everyone is looking better and reaching. Flower has started. The only pruning I did was a few smaller lower colas I took off so the plants didn’t bother sending energy there.

Good morning Amigo, how are you doing today?
Does moving your light seem to have rectified the issue?
Also was it mostly the tops that were off color?

They still seem a little lighter in color in that last pic?
We might still have some work to do here.

Stay safe
Bill

The upper leaves of the two purple haze were the ones turning lighter. I haven’t noticed more changing and the “beneath” leaves were much darker. In this stage because I didn’t prune there’s some larger bottom leaves turned yellow which I took out but I hear that’s normal toward the dirt. The purple haze have been off since week six but they seem muncher better now then before.

What could be throwing off color as well is there’s a red light in there so it makes them appear a little off color. I’ll get a pic tomorrow when it’s off for comparison.

The get fed the fox farms soil feeding system. We’re finishing up week 8. Fed only two times a week and water days between. Lesson learned this grow is don’t grow more than one strain at a time. Clearly the Bruce banner and super lemon have like much brighter light than purple haze.
