Hey everyone. I am in the middle of my first grow and I am currently using a tower fan and a decent sized humidifier in a 2x2x4 grow tent and with just one plant. As you can probably imagine it is a tight fit for everything. I am looking for recommendations on some good sized clip on fans or something close for next grow and how many in each tent. was thinking 2. Trying to make the conditions more comfortable for next time. Any help would be awesome. Thanks in advance. B

I use small inexpensive clip fans...add a 3rd on the floor when it gets thick.

I just keep an eye on marketplace Craigslist thrift store etc and buy any decent $5 fans the right size and then diy mount them where ever. Maybe one day I'll get sick of that and invest in some nice ones.

Best advice I can provide is to make sure your exhaust ventilation out the top is stout with the open vents at the bottom. The pulling of fresh air from the bottom aids in o2 replacement in tight grow areas. I don’t think you need a humidifier. Small boxes I think benefit by upward air flow as much as side to side. Do some training techniques that increase your stem strength to carry the eventual bud. You’ll need to train harder in a small box anyway. Flowering early( 4wk) or flowering just rooted clones would be good for a tight space.
I’d recommend a 4” exhaust type with carbon filter somewhere in line if odor will be an eventual problem exhausting out the top of your space . Good Luck on your grow!!

I don't know how handy you are but I have a idea for you. I get exhaust fans from a bathroom shower You can mount it to exterior wall cut a 3" hole and pipe in in. You can direct it wherever you need air flow. I can send you a pic if you like

Inky66, my set up exactly...passive air intake at bottom of cabinet 4x the size of my 4” fan that ducts through a carbon filter and exits the top of the cabinet. I run the fan 24/7. The passive air intake comes through a homebuilt light box and HEPA filter. I am turning over clean cool air 24/7 from under the canopy up through the canopy. My top fan pushes down cooler air above the CMH315 which worked out well to keep cabinet temps in the 68-88F range.

That’s some nice engineering work there ! Seriously!

When I said my set up, I was referring to my “purchased “ equipment. What you have created is well beyond what could be purchased! Great Job
