Feeding plants

so my buddy is a licensed grower and he swear by feeding from bottom to top...he puts about 500ml in each tray and allows plant too soak it up ..WHAT YOU GUYS THINK ABOUT THAT ? he grows in 3 gal pot with promix ...he feeds twice wid chem from trays then he uses straight water from the top of dirt to allow the water to clean salt build up WHAT YOU GUYS THINK ?

It definitely will work. It is not a very efficient use of the root system. But it will work for sure...just costs more money to get the same results. Also it can easily be done wrong so I would say that it is a bit more difficult too.
