^ thanks bro, yeah i've gone through a couple gallons of distilled water already.

So your volume is approximately 11 Gal more or less. If you want to flush your medium of nutes, it is a good idea to flush with 2-3 times the volume of water as you have medium. So in your case it would be 22-33 gallons of water. I think the absolute minimum would be the same volume...so 11 Gallons. You said that you went through 2 gal of distilled water. IMO that will not be enough to flush your medium. If you want to stop the nute burn, I would really flush this soil. Where does your runoff go if I may ask?

have it set on top of a disposable styrofoam cooler just drains down. i've gone through 7 gallons so far now will keep going till ive done 30 gallons.
