First time cloning - Help?

Promised I would be back with daily updates they are still alive and seem to be sound fine...i out some wrapping paper around the bottles because I read roots don't like sunight otherwise they are still going.....

Question do I change the water at all or keep the same water all the way through

Good to hear ...yea I heard that too...that's why I was confused on the water thing cause some say just put in shady area for couple days so idk...I was gonna do mine in red solo cups to maybe help the light thing?

Yeah that might have been a good instead of clear bottles hopefully the paper helps.

Day 3 leaves still green and no sign of wilting....seems to be going well. I checked the stem and no sign of any roots forming yet but they aren't dead so that's a good thing.

I heard that this way could take 2-3 weeks but never know

I'm following this other post on here....first time cloning for dummies...should go look at it...he's doing same thing to prove it can be done very simple...he's using nothing...look him up...imhigh85....very knowledgeable

Yes I've caught his thread as well. If you forget about them for a week you'll come back and be surprised. I did this and had a hard time getting the roots back through the 2" opening in the bucket cloner lol. You should change the water out every few days if in such a small cloner. We're in a 3.5 gallon so we only change it every week and haven't had any issues.

Not sure if I've asked yet but what's the ups or downs of cutting the leaves on clones

You cut it to minimize the amount of transpiration through the leaves. You want to keep the water in the plant so she doesnt go limp . and it also helps the plant focus on rooting

Sorry for the last post got a little tied up this weekend but the clones still the same alive no roots tho so I guess u really just have to wait....on the other hand the Gelato decided to show sex early so I'm pretty sure these are pre flowers.....

. . . these clones are just taking their time haha....no wilt no death still green...but NO ROOTS there is like some white thing around the part in the water hope it isn't fungas couldn't get a good pic but didn't wanna take the stem out of the water

Still looks good...been told the leaves will turn yellow when she's about to start rooting ....my clones are so small...I took the lowest ones that wasn't getting light...any other ones I woulda been taking my colas...I'm impatient too I want em to root so I know they might make it or I have to cut more
