GrowUpJr Indoor Soil Durban Poison Grow Journal 2020

Mother Durban is more than touching the top of the tent that stands 6' tall. She was given 2nd dose of Bush Master today, and, as of today also, she shares flowering space with a GSC at 35" from stem to top. There are two lights in tent now, one hanging vertical for Durban and the other over the GSC (last pic). I rotate both 1/4 turn every six hours of light time. Lastly, as mentioned before, the Durban's roots are growing out the bottom of the fabric so I put a plate underneath and soil around edge of plate on 10/09/20.

I don't think the Durban Top is going to make it but still have her in a veg tent trying.

Updated weekly pics with flower close up, Durban Top included too. Expected harvest for mother is November 10-24, 2020. In looking at current development, it looks as though she'll need to be harvested in perhaps 3 stages beginning from the top, then middle and bottom. Time will tell.

Flower week 3 as of Tuesday the 13th, so about 3 1/2 weeks as of today. The top didn't root but the secondary colas have grown tremendously. I used Bush Master again Monday and then General Hydroponics Flora furts Thursday. Might be a bit aggressive. Going with straight water next time, then GH again. Three plants in flower tent, she's with a GSC and GDP, all doing well. Durban Poison pictured below.

Expected harvest 11/10-24/2020; tops of main colas may come sooner. This plant will produce an excellent harvest in less than a week now, just 3 more days! The grow has been enjoyable but a lot of work. This is last weekly update but will post on harvest day and probably before with pics.

I repositioned the light from hanging vertical to a normal over head; I was able after yesterday's harvest of the top of the four main colas that required a vertical hanging. Now I don't have to worry so much about rotating plant every six hours of light like I had been.

One day before harvesting next batch! I plan to leave some of the lower plant to mature more. I'm excited, although not looking forward to all the trimming lol. Don't know if I left too much leaves on buds yesterday (ref pics on scale yesterday), but from what I've read, I think I'm ok. I can always trim up later as needed.

Harvested another net wet 35 grams/1.25 ounces this morning, bringing running plant total to 429 grams/15.15 ounces, and more to go but some flowers need more time. First pic is before trimming and weighing buds. Plant pics are before today's cuts in first pic.

Wow, I am just getting ready to close out my first plant, a Jack Herrer but I have a Durban Poison a few weeks behind her. Your plants look like they grew outside with those long legs and amazing crop harvest. One note (I am new so consider this second hand), I asked about partial harvesting and was told the plant get more potent if you harvest the entire plants by the roots and dry it, saving your final butchering for 5-7 days into drying (once leaves get crispy). I plan to try this for my first plant and watch those of you doing paryials to see how it holds up after cure. In my grow room for these first plants I get a lot of lower bud development even now at week #9.

Here's the first Lady to come to the harvest line sometime this week.
