How to fill Air pots

Soil version

Perlite layers get thicker as you rise in the pot

Thicker layers at top encourage rapid lateral root growth



​

Soil layers should be about an inch thick



​

Important: pay attention to the height of your root ball

The height of your root ball must be above the pot for proper drainage



​

Squeeze your pot all the way around to break the root ball free

Then flip upside down and slide out the root ball



​

Now is your opportunity to access roots directly

Extra perlite directly under the root ball



​

Keep alternating your layers

About an inch or so of soil

Perlite gets thicker as you

get further up the pot
