Nice choice of light I use California light works older model ss440 in my 3x3 I love it! Welcome to 420magOk, so the lights have been hung, for testing. CLW's SS 550 on 'standard/uncontrolled' mode (full power), the temp reached, with door closed, unsealed, a max of 41°C. with door open, 24°Cish, simulating air in as I will be using room air as air in (higher co2 level and prewarmed/tempered. Humidity is low... 25% approx. ok, ok, no water/plants in there yet...
more ducting arrived; do i use the 2 large fans for suction/underpressure, and the 2 small fans for air in, or 1 fan ea for in/out?
Also, as seen on the pics, i need to raise the lamps, meaning cutting out a part of the upper shelf. 1) do i cut out just enough so the lamp fits snuggly into the shelf, or leave a nice say 1 inch/2,5cm gap around it? 2) can I make a box above this /cutout to place the propagator upon, using the lamps fan heat to warm the propagator from below. holes will be drilled into this encasement box, to allow for heat dissipation/air movement above the lamp.
oh, more ducting arrived, and added bonus: They are remodeling/renewing our change room/sweatbox at work. I saw that there was/were air ducting that was connected to the fluorescent light fixtures, one was still connected to the fixture. so i says to the workers i says: is that garbage? they nodded. I asked if they were to drive it out back to the park garage, i would buy them a round o java... it worked. the fixture is in my garage, needs cleaning, but 2 extra ducts i have, take a look.
Drill/hole saw 100mm dia arrived too....
