Help with strange markings

Hi all, this morning i woke up and noticed the base of the main stem had what looks like pieces gouged out of it or chewed on by something. Im not sure what the actual issue is so I decided to look for help here. Is it possible this is due to the age of the plant and maybe due to the stem expanding as it grows? She is not experiencing any known symptoms as far as I can tell she is very healthy and on day 3 of her flip from 41 days veg. Also no pests

Please share your opinion on what you think this is.

That's my guess, some kind of rodent. I read that they (mice, at least) MUST gnaw on things, because their teeth never stop growing.

No mice! They would never be able to get into where my plants are, I also thought of that and looked for tell tale signs but nothing, no mice or pests.

mice will dig in the soil, I lost an entire tent to mice.

That looks like a maggot or grub like damage.

That is a burrowing insect that is attacking your stem leaf miner like.

Thats what i was thinking. I read up on leaf minor insects and now I am starting wonder if you are right. Although when a stem gets bigger it sheds layers usually right? What if that's what is happening here.
