I planted a Harlequin strain plant in the ground since they are generally a fast finisher and I was curious how an in ground plant will grow. I have just been watering it every other day. Is there a a basic best practice for watering in ground plants? I did not plant it with any sort of potting mix around it. I planted it, directly into my native backyard soil which is fairly good soil. I am basically watering it like I have watered tomato plants I have grown in the the ground.

Growing in the dirt like tomatoes is a good thing.
Water and give nutrient on a schedule until you can tell when it needs one or the other, or even both.
If someone tells you they can't grow cannabis, ask them if they can grow tomatoes.
Same basic principles.

Indica/ sativa or hybrid?
Auto / fem's / or regular?

i feed a 5 gallon bucket filled with general hydroponics ferts .. full strength .. about every 5 days in drought conditions
here too.. getting the water deep in the ground.. still
