I am a plant murderer - help me stop

I am new to growing going on my 2nd/3rd grow. Doing 2 different grows at a time this time. I just jumped into growing not knowing anything. This is me practicing with making space in my bucket on first grow.

Was like almost 2 feet of roots I cut off cause bubbler in dwc kept getting stuck in roots. Lets just say dwc is just not for me. Or for my first time was annoying. Best lesson I learned apparently they need all these roots oops fml first biggest mistake I made. Learned a bit more since then. So joined you all cause been reading a lot of good info from this site. I am going to start some grow journals and would like any advice I can get from the community. Hoping to learn from you all in the future thanks.

It's a non-issue, plants are not people so therefore they can not be murdered, as you say. Rather... annihilated might be more appropriate.
